Let's just say that Sunset's Auntie Jophiel, Auntie Sariel, Auntie Remiel, Uncle Lucifer, Uncle Amenadiel and Uncle Castiel are extremely protective of her as are her grandparents the Almighty God and Goddess Almighty.
Though her Mama Bear Princess Celestia and Daddy Archangel are very powerful. Princess Celestia is not only an alicorn but a deity that can fight angel rankings such as:

Archangels and all other angels start out as Fledglings A.K.A baby angels, then they become toddlers and eventually age the human way through childhood for a many millenia. They then age and grow into teens and many millenia after that become adults. Though for them it's years due to time in Heaven being slower than time in Hell which is faster.
One week in Heaven feels like a month.
One week in Hell feels like a thousand years.

Castiel in this story is the same one from SuPerNatural.
Basically, The Empty kicks him out after Sam and Dean die and go to Heaven.
Castiel can travel through time and space which is what an angel can do. It depends on the rank in the heirarchy. Mainly Archangels and Seraphim.
