Gabriel LaVedier

Just another University-edicated fanfiction writer who prefers the cheers and laughter of ponies to madness and sorrow.

T

A play, with the Proscenium Arch broken but not swept away, showing what's special effects, and what is surprisingly real.

At Horsetari Academy, Skydance and Country Roads go along with what they see and experience. Then Skydance meets the enigmatic Daisy Dreams. And her life turns upside down.

(A pretty openly blatant parody of Revolutionary Girl Utena.)

What's your take on this? I'd really like to know how you like it so far.

I like it. A Revolutionary Girl Utena/MLP crossover, as stage play? Full points.

Thank you very kindly. Now I just need to get back to it.

Holy crap. That was amazing. I don't know if you plan on completing this, but I loved it.

I never thought I would say this. It seems almost degrading for someone such as I to state such a statement, but you have left this unit with no choice...

MOAR!!!!!!! :flutterrage:

It's back! YAY!

Great chapter. I can't wait to see the next act.

Only colt repetition cold

It's getting weird, right how I think it should be. Well, if my snippets of knowledge about the source material are any indicator.

I do have a gripe for you though, in the puberty poem, at the start, the hair bit seems really out of place, them being ponies and all, what with the fur.

Believe me, I know. But I have a newfound respect for poets. When working with both meter AND rhyme, your options are limited. When the subject matter also has to be digestible by an audience who understands certain tropes... you do your best and hope no one notices.

The last act. The final confrontation when things get weird. Er.

I notice all!:twilightangry2::flutterrage::pinkiecrazy:...:pinkiehappy:

Weird is not the word I'd use, I'm thinking more acid trip.

2012734

You ain't half wrong there. There will be mindfucks. Well, kind of. It can only get as weird as I've set it up to be.

2052795

Literal ones if you really wanted to stick close to the source material, though considering the ages, probably unlikely.

Yea. The closest I got was the "rumors of foal-fiddling" during Ace's impalement on the swords.

And so it ends. I think I can truthfully say that, for a story based on ponies turning Utena into a play, it stayed coherent. I was wondering what you were going to do about the car part, I should have seen the scooter coming.

Wow... that was great, honestly. I think I still wanna write the anime equivalent to this. Anyway, good luck with all of your future writing.

I was partially inspired by an old Drawfriend picture of Scootaloo, in Thor pose, calling to the clouds "Scooter! To me!" with the scooter descending from heavens in golden light. Here it did not go as well but that's part of the fun  And thanks for sticking with it.

But there already is an anime version of it, it's source material, Revolutionary Girl Utena... Am I missing something from your thought?

2153187 This story was based off of the Revolutionary Girl Utena movie. My version will be the Revolutionary Girl Utena anime equivalent.

Ahh, okay. I've only seen bits and pieces of each along with reviews, just enough to know the basic plot.

I'd forgotten i'd read this. Well, only to chapter two but i'd still forgot. Yeesh. Poor Ace.
