We all make choices. Decisions that are often thrust upon us by circumstance more often than personal desire. For Orion, his choices will lead him through the veil of our world and into the wonder of another.

I can only imagine the shitstorm that is going to happen when Shining tries to drag Orion back.
The more involved they get, the less Orion is going to want to be involved with them. Can't wait for Griffonia!
Yey early relish is the best relish!
Looks like in the next one, shit is gonna hit the fan really fast with Orion!
It also looks like his actions, old or new, are starting to return boomerang to him pretty fast and I'm pretty sure that there is more confrontations on his way with not only the princess, but with the rest of the nobility & the press as well.
Thanks for another awesome chapter!
I definitely wasn't expecting the Griffonia arc to start so soon. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us all this time around. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that Scream won't get her heart shattered in this version.
Also, since Twilight didn't make up with Orion before he left. When she's finally learns that he's gone. I'm guessing that she'll have a near panic attack thinking that she pushed away her only real friend. When Orion makes his return to Canterlot. I now have no doubt that he'll be needing a crowbar to pry Twilight from his side for the first month or so after their reunion.
And now the chase begins... I wonder how it will go here. Have to wait and see.
This is going to go quite poorly I believe.
This chapter is a good example of great writing. Morgan has a way of making dialog come across as natural and those scenes, especially in this chapter, really draw you in. You can visualize the scenes when you're reading them, this is extremely difficult to do well and he nailed it.
The Shining Armor Dialog is a great example of this.
The Griffin war debacle always makes me laugh. Its ridiculous and like many things in life, probably would have actually happened. Weird things happen in war and I can absolutely see that happening, as well as both sides trying to sweep it under the rug afterward out of embarrassment. It brings to mind the old military saying: "No plan survives contact with the enemy."

"Knowledge is power and power corrupts, so study hard and be evil." - Reykan
I suspect Celestia/Daybreaker reversing her anti-estrus spell and casting it city-wide.
Thank you for this story and the new chapter!
I wish you a great life!
Awesome chapter! I preferred the old Orion but I agree he seems more balanced now

Imagine the storm that will come when they figure out he's their wanted enchanter. So far The reason ponies have been going missing is because someone is looking for the enchanter but don't know that its Orion.
Great chapter can't wait to see more. Can't wait to see how they attempt to drag him back.

Dude, the city-wide orgy happened way before Sunbutt did the thing
Another excellent chapter. Can't wait for the next!
Orion should have mentioned Shining that Princess Celestia had left clear from day one Twilight was meant to marry a powerful unicorn, not a cripple like him.
Also, those mysterious disappearings make me think changelings have finally entered the scene.
I am liking some of the new potential sexual dynamics we're seeing in a RGRE setting with a high female to male ratio and herding. That is to say, we have mares with self-respect, standards, and expectations that fit the society they live in.
Competition does drive one to find a good herd while young, with the mares jockeying for a better position with their mates.
As ponies get older, it becomes harder to find someone good. Mares might find established herds more appealing than starting a new herd with an older stallion. The stallion's rough edges have been filed off by the other wives, and the herd is more likely to be wealthier and have more social connections. An untaken older stallion in contrast may be seen as defective somehow--gay, insufferable, undesirable, etc.
Older, untaken ponies may also just be happier being independent and free. Prostitution and studding do exist for those seeking to fulfill their biological needs without the commitment of a herd.
But I may be seeing more than what's there. I'm drawing this mostly from that bit of harassment Orion got earlier. I'm looking forward to future chapters.

If the poor guy can find him. Orion is going to be a bit busy.
11366405
Indeed the ball of fecal matter that he has begun is slowly beginning to pick up the pace. Doom and Gloom and Agony on him.
11366438
You may be guessing right, Twilight is known as a spazz for a reason.
11366475
For Orion's wallet? Most certainly.

Welcome to the story. Glad you decided to pick it up. Sorry for the late reply, but I usually don't have time till Wed (American) to respond to any comments I may receive. Too busy working and writing. The original is still on my page if you want some more material. But this has already been declared a far more superior rewrite.

Indeed so. I hope to bring light to the griffon's side of events. A lot of censored history is going to be uncovered by Orion this time around.
11366701
And I wish you a fantastic life as well good sir/madam/your choice.

I had to make him more believable. With the original limitations I had placed on him, it did not make sense for him to have all the advantages that he suddenly seemed to have. This Orion needs trip falls and detours. It will give him a reason to come up with better ideas later.

I actually thought about this. But like many things that often don't concern us, we tend to forget them. In the case of arranged marriages, it did not concern Orion, so he forgot to mention it. Simple human, or sapient, things really. In stories I see a lot of writers try to cover everything in every conceivable way. That's not how I wanted mine to go. Orion is a dumbass arrogant person who lets the heat of the moment and emotions often dictate his decisions.

Actually, you are not far off the mark. Studding is somewhat frowned upon in certain settings, at least in my story. It is seen as giving up for many mares who have to rely on studs to conceive foals. Lesbian relationships of an established pair are often seen as the clear path. It means the child will grow up with two adults rather than one. It will all be brought up as organically as I can in the story. Orion is originally human, so you all learn as he does.
Thank you all for replying. As some of you have already picked up, I do respond to comments regularly, but only on Wednesdays for I work and write at the same time. But I love this, I love responding to you guys and hearing what you think about the story. Please keep it up!

Not sure what you have planned, but it would be awesome if adult Orion could discover enough about enchanting (mixed with human knowledge) to make the art available to any student of any race.
Imagine Orion proposing an Academy/Guild open to all races and nationalities. Suddenly all rulers and power brokers who otherwise would have sent agents to kidnap/murder Orion would have every reason to support him and press Equestria to agree.
....Of course, Celestia might not be happy with any of that.
11370278
Just came into my mind as I read your comment.
11370439
The Rule of Two was always stupid. It only takes an accident or a serious illness to wipe out your entire order.
Also, in the previous version it was mentioned there were far more than two. Just not in Equestria.
Oh you should bucko, you're living in goddamn magic pony land ffs.
...oh gods. She better not be a changeling ;-;
Now I remember you!
The only bank made by ponies, for ponies, of ponies
Oh no.
OHHH. Removing Orion from the country so the elements can take on nightmare Moon as planned? That's smart.
