The Return of Nightmare Moon

Before the return of Nightmare Moon the ponies of the Canterlot viewed the bats with suspicion, on the day of her return that view most certainly didn't improve, and riots and mobs would have made a disaster a catastrophe had Celestia not moved before leaving to Ponyville.

I feel very sorry for the bat ponies having to experience all that negativity all caused by mass hysteria and fear due to Nightmare Moon's return.

Great story by the way, I really enjoyed. :)

Well good thing Celestia had the foresight to assign the extra security to the Bat pony neighborhoods to keep things from becoming a disaster. Likely she still remembers the bat ponies facing WORSE following her original banishment of her sister. Still would be a terrifying night, the rest of the city just outside and ready to come in and trash everything because they are afraid. and the presser on the royal guard's ponies too. Haveing to be the barrier between the angry mob and the bat ponies. It's actually nice you chose to show Celestia as so competent, many prefer to make her the "bad guy" when it comes to using Bat Ponies as a racism metaphore.

This story reminds me of the drills we did in school, where we practiced in case an hostile intruder entered the building, at the same time it reminds me of the videos of riots following some of the shootings in the US. Still, seeing that Celestia acted in advance to protect the bat ponies warms my heart, as that's what a good leader should do.
