This story is a sequel to Cinematic Adventures: The Wizard of Oz
About a month after the events of the Wizard of Oz, life seems to have went back to normal for everypony. Twilight has agreed to babysit her niece, Flurry Heart and she plans on having a great day for the two of them.
However, the Mane Six as well as Flurry Heart are whisked away again to another world where they will have to help defeat a great evil and make friends with a group of mystery solvers and a...talking dog

And so it begins once again. What started as a typical sunny day for our girls, babysitting Flurry Heart included, now the television has worked it's magic and has transported our cast to parts far beyond their knowledge. In a way, it is pretty expected for Twilight to freak out over Flurry Heart's arrival as I can recall what a mess that one babysitting job was. Never mind the fact how she was so wrapped up trying to create the perfect Heartswarming gift for Pinkie Pie, she neglected to remember that she invited her family over for the holidays (Minus the parents). Twilight sure has a history of doing that especially around Flurry.
Anyways. while it is a bit of a shame Spike won't be included in this adventure, in a way we can see this as an opportunity for an all girls trip as they eventually meet one of the most famous mystery solving teams known throughout the media. Who knows what message Celestia was trying to send prior to being transported into the vortex? But something tells me that might come into play later during this story. Until which time, however, the girls had better hope that Flurry Heart didn't get sent very far though that depends on how long she's been through the portal before the Mane Six.

Celestia seemed to have an idea about the presence of the television in Equestria of all places. I would go as far to say that she probably knows more than she's letting on, even though she insists she knows otherwise. I agree on the notion that if 'Equestrian Magic' is in the works, that it somehow caused a normal television to suddenly create portals to other dimensions and then was somehow transported around the boundaries of Ponyville, this was by no means an accident. Whomever or whatever propelled the T.V. into Equestrian probably had big intentions in mind, but it's probably unknown if it was meant for the Mane Six specifically or if 'any' pony could've found it.

To think they cut out the animated intro on the notion that the movie would be too long. Yet the transition from animated to live action, as well as an updated version of the intro, theaters would've gone nuts had that intro stayed. I would've been much more excited to see the movie when I first saw this in theaters. But, it is, what it is. Now I don't know if the ponies will land during the point where the gang have that mystery before their questionable break-up or sometime after. At this point, we'll just have to determine what plans Double E has in terms of the progress of the story itself.
I feel insulted for Spike now.

Well, at least 'Dragon Appreciation Day' comes up next week. So not like the little Dragon will miss out.
But I do feel for you: While it does pain me for Spike not to be involved, we must acknowledge that not 'every' adventure is going to include Spike. As the old saying goes, "If every pork chop were perfect, we wouldn't have hot dogs'.
Besides, there'll be tons of things to work Spike into for the next story... As soon as we finish this one.

At this point, we can assume that things were done for a purpose and that there are no accidents. Although 'technically' Flurry turned on the T.V. thus activating the portal, but that's beside the point. I just hope she doesn't get too scared by all the monsters they're about to run into.

It's completely understandable. And just because the show involves the Mane Six, doesn't mean they 'all' appear in the series. Even the ones who make appearances don't often get a line or in some cases they hardly appear at all, but instead shift the story's focus on some other characters. Same with Spike, it's nothing 'personal' but rather it just might be tricky to use him.

Probably not, but we're not the ones who wrote the movie. Frankly, I am a bit disappointed that Scrappy Doo ended up becoming so disliked that he didn't even appear in that '13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo' follow-up. The only reason 'Scooby Doo' had managed to escape cancellation years ago was only because it was their idea to take the 'Cousin Oliver' route and add Scrappy Doo to generate audience interest by exploring Scooby's family. I get why Scrappy may not be considered a favorite amongst fans, for one reasons or another, but as for me I wouldn't say he was the best thing about the 'Scooby Doo' franchise but I do admire the fact that even if he knows Scooby Doo is a fraidy dog he still looks up to him as if he's a hero.

Well, Flurry Heart is bound to embark on an adventure eventually. The little pony will eventually take over her parents' job of ruling the Crystal Empire a few years from Twilight's coronation. In the meantime, this adventure may be a chance for Flurry to gain some life experience. Even though she mainly went through the portal by accident.

Gotta be honest. I actually like this film and not much of a fan of Scrappy, though I respect the other fans' like for him. I hope you guys at least find a redemption for Scrappy, one way or another.

It's one thing to dislike a movie for something like how they portrayed certain characters. It's another thing to disrespect the people working hard to write this out for the series whether or not certain scenarios are applied or altered or none at all. And buddy, I'm the 'wrong' person to hand suggestions for. You have to turn them in to the 'boss'.
