“What is love?, a hard and impossible question to answer with words, for some love is just a fiction, for others is just a living hell, for some others is the complete devotion and selflessness any living creature could achieve in life, for me? For me love is the strength, the force that can let you do from the most brave and courageous deeds to the most idiotic and terrible acts, it’s a force that can be expressed in many ways and many forms, be it family love, friend love, love for something, love for your favorite show or place, it can be anything.
For some it is a terrible curse however, such is the case of princess Celestia, all she ever wanted, her only selfish desire was to love and be loved and yet again and again love has being denied from her, since her younger days up to this very day, but alas, it would be a lie to say to this day now wouldn’t it? For you see my friends, love it is indeed a curse to her, a curse I know far too well how it will end, but let us see what has transcended up to this very day from the moment she found love and to her heart’s comfort found a chance and a little more at it, but we wont see the whole story or that would be utterly boring”

“-My, my, my! You naughty little piece of sexiness” a soft grunt of satisfaction leaved her mouth as a tentative lick began working again on her white, shinny coat “show me just how much you have studied my faithful lover”

Twilight couldn’t finish her sentence as Celestia’s sweet lips touched hers; Twilight closed her eyes after some seconds and began to return the kiss her former mentor gave her “It feels…….nice, really nice”. Celestia’s horn glowed, beginning to set the sun on their backs while she and her former protégé were sharing a sweet, beautiful and perfect first kiss.
“Celestia……” was all that Twilight could say looking at her princess in the eyes, glowing with a light she had never seen before, so captivating was that gaze that she did not realize she had ventured for another kiss “Mhhmmmm” groaning in satisfaction as their lips met once again in a more loving and fierce way “this really feels nice”.
The kiss ended with a little sigh and to both participants disappointment “Stay with me tonight Twilight, embrace me and let me embrace you, I do not wish to sleep alone tonight” was the petition Celestia gave to her new found love “o-of course……I……I don’t w-want to leave…..yet…….and Im pretty tired too……Celestia” was Twilight’s reply.
A true smile was summoned to Celestia’s lips as both of them crawled to the bed and embraced each other for the coming night, sharing sweet kisses and loving the warm their bodies offered together.

“ uggghhh………..ok, OK! Im up” Twilight said as she stepped down from their shared bed and trotted to the bathroom still half sleep “Wha---*Yawn* what time is it Tia?”
“9:00 am Twilie”
“oh, ok…………..” Twilight stepped into the bathroom and closed the door, inside the room Celestia was writing something on some scrolls as she began a countdown “3....2….1…”.
“9:00 AM??????? OH HORSEAPPLES IM GOING TO BE TARDYYYYYYY!!!!!” a loud bang of magic was heard from inside the bathroom and Celestia only stared at the bathroom door for several seconds before counting down again “5……4…..3….—“
Another bang of magic, this time in front of her was heard and a flash of purple light was seen at the same time, a second later a very upset Twilight was looking with daggers on her eyes at Celestia “Is there something wrong love?” Celestia smiled, trying her best not to snicker.
“you------you-----You!.......YOU PRANKSTER, TODAY IS SUNDAY!!!” Twilight leaped over her lover, tackling her to the ground as Celestia could only laugh at her most recent prank “works every time”.

“I ask you, Twilight Sparkle, will you grant me the great pleasure of becoming my wife?” Celestia was showing a gold ring with a purple diamond on top of it, to say Twilight, as every other pony at the party, was speechless would be short to the fact, not even angel bunny was moving, not even Pinkie pie was moving!.
“………..Celestia…..we…….we have been dating for 5 years now and we have known each other for more than 20, tell me, did you really had to ask me that?, do you actually believe I could or would say no?”
Tears began to form in both Twilight’s and Celestia’s eyes, the gold ring began to float in the air and then being placed on her horn, they looked at each other’s eyes and kissed sealing their commitment as the background was made up by the stopping hooves and clapping hands of the present guests.

“And you? You are always so immerse in your classes and your work you never tell me anything, you never say anything to me like before! You barely even look at me!”

“SO AM I, IM THE PRINCESS OF THE SUN!”
“AND IM THE HEAD MASTER OF THE UNIVERSITY”
Their fight raged on for a couple of hours, it wasn’t the first and he guards knew they shouldn’t interfere with them, and angry Twilight or an angry Celestia is a nightmare, but BOTH at the same time? Uggg, let’s not get into details about what happened to the royal guard who had the bravery to try to stop them last time.

“Im sorry, I didn’t mean it, I love you so much Celestia” Twilight said while laying a top her wife kissing her neck and cheeks.
“Neither did I Twilight, It’s just, so stressful, please forgive me, my love” Celestia said while hugging and keeping Twilight in place, kissing her horn and her forehead.
“Tia…..I love you so much, so much” she said closing in for a passionate “Im sorry” kiss.
“Twilie…..” and their lips met for the up tent time, tongue met tongue and little groans of pleasure and desire began to fill the air of their room.

“It has truly being a wonderful journey, isn’t?” Twilight said on her bed, 72 years old, surrounded by her lover and her friends “he, I always thought I was going to live the most”
“please my love, don’t say that, we will find a cure!”
“You now there is no cure for death Tia, my love” Tears were falling from Celestia’s eyes, seeing her lover, her wife on her death bed and be utterly powerless to help her, “What wonderful 50 years they have being indeed *cough*”

“Oh cheer up BBBFF……..you will stay with Cadence, don’t let my death turn you sad” Shining armor, her brother was as young as he was 50 years ago, turns out that after defeating king Somber his immortality and power was passed into Shining armor, letting him stay young and more powerful but not as powerful as an Alicorn or his sister.
All of her friends were there with her, Pinkie pie was looking so sad that even her wrinkles had wrinkles while Rainbow dash was at her side trying to hold her tears in vain, Fluttershy was being held by her husband Big Mac as he too was trying hard not to cry, after marrying Fluttershy they became great friends “Who could have guessed that behind that quiet and shy Macintosh laid one of the greatest mathematic minds the entire world had ever knew?”, Applejack was looking at her with a serious yet sad face, only a few knew, but even though she never got married she was always welcomed with Fluttershy and her brother, turns out shy was very open minded.
Rarity was, to her surprise, totally not dramatic like she had bet she would be, she was crying, held by Spike, her and Luna’s husband, Luna was busy holding her sister crying form as Cadence was holding the trembling Shining armor, Spike was crying too, after marrying Luna and Rarity they had grow close, as brother and sister, and finally Celestia, who was trying with all her might to think up something to save her lover, but she knew it was pointless.
“My love………everyone” everypony in the room looked at her smiling form, a single tear fell down from her eyes and said “…..I hope to see you again………….someday” a little sigh and her last breath was heard.
It took everyone in the room a few seconds to realize what had happened, Twilight Sparkle had died.
Celestia screamed her wife’s name.

“Where, where am I?”Twilight asked, her voice sounding like in her younger days “Hello?” she asked, “Why is everything so white? Is this death?”
“Might as well be Twilight Sparkle, or at least for me it is” a voice behind her said, a voice she could never forget.
“Discord!!, What’s going on?!” she asked turning around to face Discord, and it was Discord alright just a little, different “What are you doing here?”
“And thus now you are here, we can now continue with the story!” he summoned a pink cloud behind him and sat on it, “Tell me Twilight, what is the last thing you remember?”
“I----I died…..but I don’t feel dead or is this how death feels like?”
“Yes you died, but you are not dead yet, you see it took me years to gather enough strength for this moment” he said looking at her in the eyes.
“What moment?” she asked looking at his eyes “Discord! Your eyes, they are!”
“Different?, why of course they are! IM Discord, not THAT Discord, Im sure you know the tale of my madness no?, well I’ve been trapped inside this place since my power took over my mind” Twilight looked at him speechless not sure if he was saying the truth or no, still she nodded, “ Look, I would love to stay here and chit chat with you but we have little time, I brought you here to give you a gift and a curse”
“A—a gift and a curse? To me? Like a gift? What are you playing at Discord?”
“Nothing Twilight dear, I know why you died, it wasn’t a sickness or old age, you killed yourself” Twilight looked at him surprised but said nothing “ you were so worried about what would Celestia feel or do once you died that those same thoughts and that same preoccupation slowly killed you from the inside, Am I wrong?”
“…….no”
“Well let me tell you this, Celestia is going to die because of your death” Twilight eyes opened in horrific surprise, “it is her curse, if she loses the one she loves and stays behind to live that will kill her, and with her the sun will die, and it’s not because it is her actual curse or anything like that, love has denied her for so long that in the moment true love arrived to her heart and be reciprocated it would seal her doom, basically you are going to kill Celestia” Twilight began to mumble while tears fell from her eyes, anger and sorrow filling them.
“But” Twilight looked up to Discord “there is a way for you to prevent it, you just have to accept my gifts, and I assure you this isn’t some kind of trick, it’s a real gift, just that, wanna hear me out?” Twilight nodded, Discord smiled.
“Im going to give you my life and my power”
“What??!!”
“Im going to give you my life and my power, want me to say it again?”
“b-but why?”
“It’s simple, I love her, she deserves to live, when I turned into the…..Discord you met before, she didn’t died because I still lived, I was alive and the image she had of me was tainted, that’s why she lived but just barely, now with your loss she WILL die, see? Simple, just like that"
“….you said it was a curse too”
“Why yes it is!, you will become young again, immortal and posses my powers with the bonus that I will keep the curse of my power, meaning you will not become crazy with chaos over the years, but you will have to see your friends, your family die, one by one, and you will remain, you will experiment the pain immortals must face, are you willing to accept this gift and curse, to stay with Celestia and love her and be loved by her forever while seeing everyone and everything else die, move on while you remain alive or will you turn around, go to the beyond and let Celestia die from sorrow and sadness?”
“…….I will take your gift, if I can save Celestia and be at her side forever I shall face that pain, for her, but and you?”
Discord laughed and did double flip in the air totally excited “I have no idea!, I might stay here or maybe I’ll die, maybe I’ll be reborn, who knows and who cares? I don’t!” he said landing in front of twilight and putting his index finger of his paw hand on the tip of the horn “don’t worry, this will only hurt A LOT!”
A dark light filled the white emptiness they were in, she didn’t knew what was going just the incredible pain of something big and heavy entering her body, she saw nothing, knew nothing, that is until she opened her eyes again, still in bed while everyone around her looked at her way in surprise and totally confused.
“ehe………..it’s a complicated story”
Spike and Shining fainted.
Outside, in the very center of Canterlot maze a statue of a great creature, responsible of chaos and once a tyrannical ruler of Equestria and the once prank master of the world began to crack and then crumble into millions of pieces and then dust blown away by the wind as a faint laughter filled the air.

5 thousand years
Twilight had been living for 5 thousand years a long side her wife Celestia and her family, Luna, Shining, Spike and Cadence, Spike learned to control his dragon powers and was able to stay in a size just a bit smaller than Celestia, thus gaining immortality and be crowned as the new dragon king.
Now Equestria was gone, there was no more Equestria, no, now there was the Empire of Harmony, all creatures of all over the world conformed it, finally living in peace and harmony, and as Discord had promised she faced the horrible pain of seeing her friends and loved ones die, so many she had lost, and she still remembered and missed every single one of them, especially her 5 best friends, the sun was beginning to raise, a new day for the world, another day for her, her family and her love.
Celestia smiled at Twilight, they both shared a kiss looking into the rising sun alongside their fellow immortals, they had gone through so much, battles, enemies, problems, parties, losses, teachings, and many, many more things they had done, she gazed upon her wife, breaking the kiss, knowing much more was left to come, after all, they had all the time in the world to face them, together.
“I love you Twilight Sparkle”
“I love you too, Celestia Sparkle”

I seem to be just full of them.
I loved the first chapter and didn't feel it needed another one but this was a great addition.
The only thing I have to say is that the ending felt strange, like it was pure head canon. (Head canon I love but head canon none the less)
Overall I would say great job, was good.

The Spike explanation feels kinda awkward and came out of nowhere. Mastering his powers? Really? Consider: a Dragon nap on FIM last a hundred years, if nap usually doesn't last a couple of hours, why don't just consider them immortal unless killed like a Tolkien elf? Also the size problem could be fixed with as long as Spike doesn't go mad with greed he doesn't grow uncomfortably large. Lastly what's the point of making Spike a king if there is a 'Empire of Harmony'? I think you tried too hard to make a happy ending. Not everything needs to be explained and if done properly less can mean more. I wouldn't say it's bad, but the for me the ending feels off.

I can't quite wrap my brain around a Spike / Luna pairing but i do like how everything turned out.
I like it mostly, all the mass shipping felt like you just wanted everyone to be shipped with someone ,even if it means incest, poligamy and all that.
And thats just awkward, i could more easily see Rarity be single all her life then taking even part of someones love for anyone else (Element of Generosity anyone?
)
At least if i got it right and you shipped Spike with both Rarity and Luna (him marring both of them)

A very happy story in the end, slightly bittersweet but ultimately happy. Good work, could use quite some editing though.
so, uhm... It's not bad, but it's not that great either.. Discord has a power that corrupts him, one that he can turn off if he trades his powers to another?
Things like these cannot happen without consequence and the consequence being the way this new existence will affect her mind is not enough, because that is not a consequence for an act that should be impossible to perform by any other means. Having some grave consequences makes this kind of act more tolerable and easy to swallow, otherwise it is a get out of jail card.
That said, I love the sacrifice in this fic and it was probably by far the most emotional moment in the entire short story, for the real Discord to sacrifice his very being, only to help her lover reclaim this new lover she had found. I would imagine after being consumed by his own power and placed into a void in his mind, he would want nothing more than his miserable existence to end.
Not a whole lot makes sense about that, it's just the idea that sounds really cool and I can't help now but think that probably Discord might end this way in FIM, or rather should. I know it's a long shot to say this, but truly, if his sacrifice can save someone from dying, that would be the Final act of chaos, defying death.
That and the last description going for him in this short story made it all the more epic.
I love that, it is not just Discord approved, but it makes him good all while staying true to his chaotic nature. I simply love it, if that is not obvious by now.
I guess I'll leave you with a like. I wouldn't necesssarily call it a favourite, but it still was good enough to deserve a like, even if a bit, flawed.

I loved the ending, people always say immortality is a curse and in some way they are correct, but if you take 1 immortal being that loves another immortal being, you have an eternity of happiness instead of a curse, you will always see loved ones die all around you but atleast you will never be alone.
