I love the interaction between Telendar and the fat man, though I'm afraid I have no idea what they're based on. The balance is very interesting.
As for a first wish for Pinch to write down...well, I'd like to say "That her mother actually care about her", but that one won't work either because
A) Pinch herself wouldn't believe it possible.
B) Telendar hasn't given her that much power yet, or
C) The book can't grant a wish that's already true, however hard it is to see (hoping it's this one).
So with the renter coming, how about a wish that the renter's arrival could be an improvement to her life, rather than yet another thing that makes it worse? Someone who will pay more attention to her than to her mother? Someone...who will find her beautiful?
Fascinating...i do enjoy a good coment driven story but i beleve i will keep my hat out of the ring for now. After all i would hate to make a sugestion that would derail this bit of fiction.
However if you could be so kind please do tell what is youre vison for this story so i can plan accordingly
7903981 By all accounts, my only plan is A)when I think a major enough thing happens, expect for a marked power up, just to let people know where it might be, and B)her life to either get better, or worse, and probably swap at times. I don't try to keep too much of an idea in my head for these, as I feel that ruins some of the fun of making it comment driven. As an example, I expected a LOT more clop to be in the prequel to this, but I think there are only three chapters with anything that would truly be considered very explicit, and it's one of my most meaningful stories to date, in part because I wasn't trying to conform it to a greater plan until a direction was just kind of discovered while writing it.
It also keeps some of the pressure off of me, and these Journal stories are ones I usually use to just escape, which led to days for Gamer's Journal where it might get three updates in one day.

As for the wish am not sure, however, I think that'd be a child reaction as well.
So let's go with
"I wish mom wouldn't want stallions who only wants sex with her."
That should teach us how much power it has or how effective it might be.
For something that could have effects she doesn't expect:
"I wish that it was extremely common for unmarried mares to get drunk and spend nights with stallions, so that we won't be looked down on for her indulging in her habits." Since, with her having lived with her mom's habits all her life, she likely would be reluctant to remove such a key part of her personality. Heck, she likely can be fun when drunk, not just 'fun'.
How about she wishes for a friend
OR
To know why her mom drinks all the time
OR
Have food to feed her self and her mom
OR
To have some-pony to teach her about magic
and/or
Have her mom settle-down (it would come slowly, first by her finding the rite pony, only dating this pony, and ... at the end of the story is the wedding)
OR!
She writes as a joke, to have her breasts go form A-cup to and C-cup
and her mom see that her daughter is getting noticed, and Berry Punch doesn't want her daughter to become her.

I think it could go interesting if berry picked up the journal and wrote in it thinking it was hers or something along those lines.

8032215 And as I said in Singer's Journal, it is all too possible for another to use the journals, as they're more catalysts to use a part of the connected demon's power, rather than having any sort of lock.
1) Pinch wishes that ever her mom or herself goes on a date with Tura.
1.5) If Pinch is to young, then she wishes that her body is mature enough.
p.s. slowly, during the story, her body becomes more... you know!
maybe add that at ever new day/chapter she tacks measurement

As for me thinking what might have implied Gamer's Journal being canon, that means that I don't know what gave you that idea. As for IF Gamers is canon, I... don't know yet. I'm kind of leaving the ability for it to be open open until I find a reason for the two to ever bump into each other, but I'm expecting for the two's cast to stay fairly separate, especially if it's in the middle of Gamer's Journal, rather than after.
Also, for the second quote, I shall leave unanswered, as it means you haven't figured out Tura yet, as otherwise it would make sense.

Tura isn't too old, still being low 30s like anyone the Mane 6's age. However, when Pinch was young, she would have seen Coloratura's song like almost everypony else during Coloratura's episode, but it only strikes a cord, nothing more.
