On the Feast of Hearth's Warming Eve, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna risk their lives in a blinding snowstorm to bring essentials to a pair of poor ponies living in Canterlot.

Author's Note: Inspired by the song, "Good King Wenceslas"

I don't think Luna would be this rude about ponies less fortunate than her. She said to Celestia not to put herself in harms way for somepony less fortunate but wasn't she the one who punished herself for at least five seasons because of what Nightmare Moon did? I think she wouldn't be so shocked at what Celestia was doing.

Pretty interesting

bring me flesh

why would they need flesh for ? they are vegetarians .

Mark my footsteps my good page

Well, since the page isn't going, maybe Luna's going to follow in Celestia's hoofsteps

tfw you know the song and are wondering how the rest plays out in the story

Wooooooooooop

And then there's the last bit :3

The two learned an important lesson that day: rulers who make a show of visiting one impoverished family with gifts are more beloved than rulers who quietly enact policy to improve the lives of all impoverished families. Thus the tradition of the Royal Hearthswarming Visit was born.

That was a magnificent story you wrote, sir! They should have made episodes solely focused on Celestia and Luna.

I gave this story a review here. Warning: I came out strongly disliking it, and because the group is founded on the principle of not sugarcoating reviews, I didn't sugarcoat this review.

This is kinda like that one weird modern rendition of romeo and juliet with guns and gangs and such, but keeping the same Shakespearean dialogue.
