To be fair, there's a very good change any human who lived that long would become that much nonchalant about everything.
Treating the absurd as if its a mere nuisance at worst, truly a fine case of the stiff upper lip and "Keep Calm and Carry On" effect. Dave takes it like a true Monty Python you could say.
Before reading the story: "Oh hey, this may be a rather interesting read."
After reading this story:
how is it possible that one human could be so amusingly nonchalant about Discord's chaos enough that even DISCORD himself has a problem with it! This is brilliant.
First off, that thouroughly enjoyable, and I particularly liked the ongoing war of furniture in Dave's house.
But there is one thing that bugs me here, and it's the fact that I think you're understating Discord's reaction to Dave here. Discord revels in the reactions others have to his chaos, and for someone to not really react...i think it would trigger him to attention whore level status that this story doesn't even come close to approaching in this fic.
Then again, it's been two thousand years. At this point he's probably "stabilized" in his interaction with Dave, or at least as much as Discord is ever "stable".
