Just a nit to pick, shroud more implies the sort of thing you'd wrap a corpse in before committing it to the earth, not so much pretty pony lingerie. Maybe slip would be a better option, or robe?

Reminded me a lot of Home Grown by bats. Enough so that I had to go look it up again. But you handled it differently enough that it still feels fresh and I particularly enjoyed the ending bit with the interactions of the whole family. Bravo.

A feint is a combat maneuver where one makes it look like their attack will come from one direction before striking from another. Fainting is what Rarity's couch is for.

She was transformed from the sturdiest, most ~~dependant~~ dependable pony in Equestria, to complete putty in one alicorn’s hooves.

A dependent is someone who requires a more mature being to care for them to keep them out of trouble/fed. Somebody who is dependable would be capable of caring for a dependent.
