I read the thing (meh) and I have to agree, this doesn't really have gay in it. Shining Armor is not portrayed as being hot for other stallions. Actually, he's portrayed as being hot for Cadance, who is not R63'd in this story.
That's basically the opposite of gay.

Still though, this clopfic wasn't terrible but of the fact that Cadence wasn't rule 63'd to a stallion (Prince Eros or Prince Bolero) and this fic wanted Shining to be gay as fuck (which I'm all up for to be honest!

Alright, come on guys. In the name of transparency, my story was waiting in the approval cue for a couple of days. I assume his was as well within the same time. The fact that they were published so close together is more indicative of who approved it first, rather than who wrote it first. In either case, it doesn't matter. Aside from the title, the two stories are nothing alike. They are both good for what they are for different reasons. And even if JumbledThought didn't like my story, I don't take it personally or begrudge him for it. I actually liked his story for what it is. What I don't like is these kind of petty nit-picks that do nothing more than artificially create vitriol between authors and readers. Like or dislike an author or story for its own merit.
