Dear Twilight,

I was thinking about it last night in bed, and in all fairness, I suppose it’s not that I feel like our conversations are going stale, it’s just that I want to actually

Okay, this is just going to sound weird no matter how I write it (which will only reinforce my point here), but I really want to talk with you. Like, sit down face to face and actually have a nice chat. As much as I enjoy our writing to each other, I’ve been going to bed lately feeling disappointed that we’ve only been able to have one fraction of a brief conversation per day.

I want to be able to say a sentence or two and have you respond back right away, heck, even interrupt me if needed. Ever since I sent you those history textbooks, I kind of wish I could have been sitting near you to answer any questions that you could have answered immediately. I always kind of had the fear that you would have read something that would have really revolted you, and you would have been forced to stew on it until I responded, if at all anytime soon.

I don’t want to go on a rant here, so what I’m trying to say is that I don’t mind talking about books and stories and stuff. I love books and stories and things, but I’d honestly love nothing more than to actually talk about them if at all possible rather than write a couple hundred words about them in my free time and then send them to you when I happen to be near my mailbox.

I mean, I don’t want to stop that either, but if we can find a way to make some form of conversation as well, I would just love that. Sorry if I sounded super up-front or needy about this, especially so out of the blue, but this is just how I’m feeling about it at the moment.

I hope you understand. Thank you so much for your friendship, Twilight. I truly do appreciate it.

LSincerely,
Toby
