Hey Twilight,

I think Spike and I hit it off pretty well. Sorry, I just realized how poorly sarcasm translates on paper.

I’m including the letter he sent me with this one (my guess is he sent it late last night). Sorry for keeping you hanging until after class, it’s just that I figured he’d expect a reply in the morning, and I thought this would be a better time.

Just don’t be too hard on him. I’m not that upset at all, honestly. I’ve been online enough to know a textbook case of posturing when I see it. He does sound quite protective of you, so good on him there.

Of course, I’m not excusing what he did, but you better hide any letters of mine that you saved in case he makes good on the whole princess promise. Here’s hoping you get this letter before he does.

Pff, even if Spike did make good on his threat, worst case scenario is that Celestia and Luna will want to join in on the fun. They've dealt with enough tyrants to recognize one from an enthusiastic student. Heck, they even travelled to other worlds themselves (or at least Celestia did) so knowing there are other worlds with strange creatures out there shouldn't phase them that much.

What do you mean by "other worlds?" The only other world I know of in the show is the mirror world and I don't remember them going there.

Anyhow, great on Toby for being to see right through Spike's ruse, and thus not let that stop him from continuing his correspondence with Twi.

Ah its good Toby took it as simply posturing, but gave Twilight to be cautious anyway. Heres to hoping nothing goes too crazy hehe
