Toby,

Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry about that! I know Spike can be a bit defensive like that, but still, that was seriously not okay for him to do. The moment after I send this letter, I’m going to have Spike write you back an apology, which I hope to have sent to you tonight.

I do thank you for not getting too angry with either of us, and I’m certain the princesses would be far more upset with me for keeping you a secret from them rather than with you for contacting me, which I’m frankly more concerned about than anything.

Again, I’m very sorry you had to deal with that, and I’m hoping we can continue writing to each other as normal.

Eh, Spike is probably going to begrudgingly write a half-hearted, non-genuine apology. I would know, I remember in middle school having to write an apology letter to someone I slapped for calling me retarded, even though I felt he deserved it. I was tempted to be sarcastic in such letter, but of course, my parents and the principal wouldn't allow that.
