I really like this. It leaves the ending open, yet it's fairly clear what's going to happen. Towards the end of the poem the rhythm started to get off, but it told the story just the same. Have a like.

I like this. It's short, sweet, and to the point. It's not earth-shattering, but then stories like these don't need to be.

I wish you would continue it, though I certainly respect your decision to mark it complete; it could be a short epilogue of a happy reunion, or a multi-chapter story detailing the problem of their relationship in a hostile society.

Nevertheless, have a thumbs up.
