I wonder if she would be her freind if Twilight was a princess at the time. I mean she is kind of queen of the nerds/geeks in Equestria. Which is why I probably like her the most out of the six.
Someone finally gave my fav background pegasus a line in fiction. And it was ADORABLE! XD
I'm so glad Twilight Time gave her some more adorable moments, and Simple Ways had one pretty nice reaction scale to AB's plight that was pretty amusing to see how each filly reacts to stuff. Cloudy seems to love to overreact.
And more Alula outside of a Mudpony and Yukito fic? Good sir, or Madam, do continue to write more foal stories. Yeah, sure, they had small parts, but the best part was how you had them be a part of a world than being set in their own little space bubble where everything happens in one spot as the world around them didn't exist. It's the little things, I guess, that really add up.
This little re-imagined moment here that makes me wish more for a comic at the least about these two. But I can stick to fanon, you always tend to come across those few fics with authors who, regardless how they may feel towards a character, still go that extra mile for a character even if they may not be the most popular.
This is one of the nicest entries I've seen for Diamond this week. While the concept of DT doubting or loathing what her cutie mark or just wishing she was someony else may not be new, but in how this story was told is concerned it certainly breaks new ground and doesn't lose itself in stripping a character down just for the sake of creating a quick sense of empathy toward her. It's gradual, it builds, and it falls into everything I love about friendshipping stories we rarely see outside of OC stories and Mane 6 stuff, which already writes itself most the times. Not to say mane 6 stories have it easy, but it's so much more challenging when you have so much room to fill and keep people from accusing it as OOC.
While a couple points here could have been seen as OOC, mainly how she spoke about the cutie mark near the start because she's a very proud pony, it was taken in a rather nice direction that, in a fair few stories, tend to go on in length about the woes of having such a cutie mark and belittle the character in a passive-aggressive way. i.e. Author lets his emotions/opinions seep into their story which readers will catch on quick to and potentially then lose interest in.
I have to say, you really made something wonderful here. Of all the EFNW fics I've read, this is the most polished looking and most in character I've seen any antagonist/villain portrayed that didn't feel like two ponies sitting down staring at each other all day bouncing words off each other. I'm sure there are still many out there to read, but this is probably one I'd vote for if I did bother to vote in the event.

This story was very surprising, not at all what I anticipated it to be. Good job making Diamond Tiara's desires a central focus. I'd recommend changing the opening so it's not what we call a "weather report" (it gives a bad first impression), and getting rid of those asterisks. Also, you don't need an apostrophe with "theirs". Good work on this!
