I make a gender swapped (R63) fiction, and it gets instant downvotes.
About three, within the first five minutes of it being posted. This was how I spent my Monday night. What I gave up sleep for. What did I do wrong? Did these people even read the story?
It's not you, it's the fact that M/M shipping seems to just get random trollers.
Trust me, my one M/M fic had the same thing happen to it

I'm glad so see that this fic at least got noticed.
I just wrote this one lonely night, feeling tired at about three in the morning. I might continue it, but I don't know if it would help or hurt the fic at this point. So far it's too soon to tell. At least it's good to know that someponies are more considerate of their actions before they start down-voting.

It's really true. People just down-vote a new fic, and it snowballs from there. Or, a new fic will get good up-votes, and it's pushed uphill from there. It's a terrible cycle when most of the fictions aren't even considered as good, without anypony having read them. I've been writing for this site for two years, and my most popular fic is only a thousand or so words long.
3351123 Don't take it personally, it's happened to all of my stories. Granted, all but one pulled back up from it decently, they all got hit in the first few minutes. Sometimes it's just how things are. Just know that it's an unfortunate facet of the site and the general writing process.

What? No man. I really FRIGGIN really wanna a read a story like that. I love reading stories that has struggling with sexuality in it. And if it's a non romance one then it would be fully focused on it and that makes me want to read it even more.
So all in all it was a genuine statement/request/whatever ya wanna call it. I really wanna read it. Hence why I started following you. If you do write it, I wanna know.

In my opinion, this was a wonderfully well done story, as well as a fantastic take on TwiShy as a ship. There aren't very many gender swap stories like this out there that I've seen (or maybe they're just hiding from me) and enjoyed, but this...I enjoyed this thoroughly.
You explained a lot of things without really saying what they were and I liked that quite a bit. You also sort of tweaked character personalities in ways that I thought were interesting. An example would be with Lune and Solar Flare: yea it's supposed to be Celestia and Luna, but the fact that their personalities are different is just...fantastical. It's a fresh break from the usual is what I'm tryin' to say.
I also enjoyed how you portrayed Dusk Shine and his mentality on the issue. His confusion on such a "simple" matter was enjoyable to read in a sort of twisted sense. We clearly see he's very distraught on all this and it's clearly taking a toll on him in every way possible.
All in all, twas a artfully crafted story. Bravo my friend, bravo
