Technically, she was grounded for running away from family meeting in Cloudsdale, but the fact that she was involved in murder didn't help her.

Dunno, it's first mentioned in the beginning of chapter 4 that Scootaloo was grounded, when Royal Guards brought her home. My aim was rather to make readers put pieces together themselves ;)

Not to go into a Twilight Sparkle mode here, but think it depends on the pony and his/her personality. Some might see their worst nightmare, some might see their hottest fansatsy, others might see something from Earth. (dun dun duuun !!)
