On the way to the treehouse, the crusaders stumble upon a hypnosis kit. They then try to use it to earn their cutie marks as hypnotists....with hilarious results. Can the fillies find their talents as hypnotists? Or will Ponyville be turned upside-down from the victims of their hypnotism destroying the peace and quiet of a sunny afternoon in the town?

Welcome back after the long hiatus. Looking forward to how this turns out. LoL probably the last few ponies you'd want to have hypnosis abilities. Well then again I'd trust Applebloom and Sweetie Belle over Scootaloo.
In detail? That was as barebones as an induction gets. You're a step away from just wiggling a shiny coin in front of them for a second and suddenly they're hypnotized.
Let's hope they don't hypnotized Spike into being the girls' lover.
I would have to agree with Arzoo. That wasn't a detailed induction at all, in my opinion. I would suggest making it a little more comprehensive, and a little more detailed than that. I'd be inclined to read more, but the idea of even more basic inductions than that really puts me off.
That said, it is your story! Write it however you like. This is just some thoughts from a person with a strong love for hypnotism as a fetish.
Pretty lacking in terms of detail; although I'll happily admit it's rare we get a cute story like this. ^^

Sweetie Belle gets her big sis as the next test subject, Scoots looked at Sweetie "That's gross, Twilights not going to like it"
AJ smiled

"What's going on here!" 'SPIKE stop that right now" Raritys eyes blinked "Spike... SPIKEY?"
Twilight looked on "Tell? You two need a private room, Now what's going on here!"
Bloom giggles "Bet it'll be as sweet an apple fritter" She rolls her eyes" And one big surprize ta boot!"
Scoots "I don't think it'll be much of a surprize to the rest of ponyville" Scoots stuffs a hoof in her mouth"Gag me It's still gross"
Later at the Boutique the bell rings as AJ rolls throught the door "Hi ya sugarcube I need...."
Rarity stares out into space"Oh,Excuse me Apple Jack I must be going dear, I have urgent business at the Library & I'm a bit late, Ta Ta"
AJ followed her from behind , She watched as Rarity trotted in a bee line straight to the Library And knocked on the door.
Before the door opened she announced "Twilight dear can I come in?" As Rarity fidgited like a filly needing to go to the little mares room
Spike opened the door "WhatSup ?... Rarity!" She looked at the Drake "SPIKEY POO"
Rarity grabbed Spike by the chubby wubby cheeks and gave him a big long kiss right on the lips, Spikes eyes burst into hearts as he wraped his claws around the marsh mellow neck and kissed her back.
Twilight Screamed "Rarity! "
They parted lips ,Spike with a big giant smile, "Spikey I demand an answer!"Rarity boomed "And I want it right now!"
Spike in shock answered "But you started it? If you didn't like it why did you..." Spikes eyes showin a bit of wetmess.
AJ continued Yepper, You two were goin at it like a pair of love sick cat fish!" JA beamed" An don't say you two didn't like what cha did neither"
Rarity stuttered "Well I ...I...I a lady never kiss and tells"
Sweetie came into view "What's going on here?" They all looked at each other in confusion , Spike just slumped his sholders and turned to leave.
Rarity reached a hoof out stoping him.Nuzzling his cheek she whispered in his ear "Spikey dear I don't know what's going on. But you are MY Spikey poo & you kissed your lady as fine as any stalion in those romantic love novels" Rarity spoke up to the rest "Now what the hay is going on here?"

This is a cute little story. It deserved to have an UP vote. So I gave it one.
This may not any accurate when it comes to hypnoses but it was still fun to read and I am sure there is still a lot of fun to come with those three.

It's sort of an art form; there's no one way to do fictional hypnosis. Can't recommend much beyond reading other hypno material. Read up on the different sorts of inductions/props, like candles, the balloon visualization, etc. Check out actual hypnosis scripts.
The countdown is only one (very common) technique, but even fantasy hypnosis generally needs a few more steps to be believable. A calming/relaxing step often comes first, and there's usually some deepening after they're in trance.
Also, be sure you know what you want to write; generally people like hypnosis fiction for fetish reasons, and that's the direction my advice is coming from.
Check out Rainbow Dash discovers erotic mind control, or whatever its called (in the hypno group). It's an excellent example of hypnosis that is abbreviated but good enough to suspend disbelief, though I should warn you it does have clop elements.

5786898 It isn't intentional. I'm just not very good at putting alot of words down, it seems. When I'm finished writing a chapter I feel like I've written alot....until I see the word count. Even though I will go back and look over it again, I can never find anything more to add (usually). With this last chapter, I tried to be more descriptive, but the word count stayed about the same......(I did discover I really like writing Pinkie, though.)

5787597 I think that is only for initial submitting of the story. I think it has to be over 900 (?) words to be submitted, and then you can have the chapters as long or as short as need be.

Those all feel pretty much the same. There's a huge lack of non-mature hypno stories. And the ones that do exist are mostly unfinished/on hiatus (which basically means cancelled.)
Yea, a quick search puts it at just a few hundred. About 100 with "hypnosis" in their name. The hypnosis and mind control group has about 400 non-clop stories and a lot of that count is dark.
