It's been over a decade since the changeling invasion of Canterlot. Equestria and the Changeling Hive are at peace and tentative political allies. However, while changelings have been allowed to live in pony cities, no pony has ever been allowed to even visit the hive itself. Until now.
When the opportunity to visit the changeling hive in person in return for arranging a trip for a group of changeling drones to the Crystal Empire, Twilight Sparkle uses her connections and jumps on it. After all, who better than a researcher like her to uncover the secrets of changeling daily life.
Cadance and Shining Armor can deal with a couple drones, right? Besides, crystals are notoriously hard to set on fire.

Ever since foalhood, Zipp and Pipp have had a ritual: when Pipp comes down with a routine head cold, her sister looks after her, and they spend time together watching soaps or cartoons on the nearest comfy couch.

What happens, then, when Zipp begins to distance herself from her family in the pursuit of flight?

Starlight Glimmer discovers a letter on her desk asking for help bonding with others and getting over a social anxiety disorder. Although, there's only one problem: the letter is anonymous.

Through the letters, friendship tips and just friendly reminders are sent between the two, and it soon spreads into a school-wide thing. But there's one thing that everyone is wondering. Who was the original sender?
