Let me start this letter by saying: I love you. I know, I know. It’s probably the corniest statement in all of Equestria, but what can I say? It’s true.

Remember the first time we met? When I got my cutie mark? Your fourteenth birthday? Our final year project? All those good times we spent together strengthened our friendship.

Apple Bloom was starting to get suspicious. No pictures of her with her parents, no stories about it, no flashbacks where she appeared together with them. So she took matters into her own hooves, and had some tests done in secret, with Twilight's help, to determine her actual relation with her supposed family.

The results were... certainly unexpected. Interesting, to say the least. Absolutely devoid of any logical sense, more appropriately.

Emerald Morrison didn't have the best life, but certainly not the worst. She didn't have the best grades, but also not the worst. But now? Now she finds herself as Twivine, an OC made by another brony. Problem is, she has no idea who Twivine is. She heard of Twivine, seen one or two fan made pictures but that's about it.

Somehow Twilight's magic surge brought Emerald or rather Twivine to Equestria and now she grows up (again), only this time in the Sparkle household.

It's been nearly a year since Twilight Sparkle entered the newest phase of her adulthood: princessdom. And with that change come a lot of other changes, big and small.

However, there is one thing that hasn't changed: her bedtime.

When Twilight's foreign-born mother, Twilight Velvet, comes to visit, all Tartarus breaks loose in the Sparkle household after Twilight comes home late from a party. Unfortunately for everypony involved, neither mare is backing down--at least, not without a few good shouting matches.

It has been a long day for Twilight Sparkle. Now, with the Friendship Games over, she returns home with Cadence to her family. But how will they react when she tells them what happened?

This story is completely canon based on my own opinion. I do not own MLP or any related characters.

You can neither escape nor forget the life you lead, much as Twilight Velvet wants to. Though proud of her children, she can't deny that being known only as the mother to two of the most powerful ponies in all of Equestria hasn't been easy. She'd like to forget her doubts, though, and a riverboat cruise seems like the perfect opportunity.

But still: you can neither escape nor forget the life you lead, regardless of whether it's the one you thought you'd have. But that's not what matters. Sometimes it takes being on a riverboat to the sea to remember that.

Runner-up for the My Little Renaissance Contest, and ended up placing 5th overall.
