Thorax is still getting used to living among ponies. They do so many strange and yet somehow wonderful and amazing things! Not so amazing, though, is his brother Pharynx's discovery that Thorax has been disobeying his orders and living openly among ponies. Desperate to avoid being dragged back to the hive as a traitor, Thorax lies, insisting he's only been pretending to gain the trust of these ponies so he can betray them and avenge Chrysalis. Now, somehow, he has to make that lie seem true, and things will definitely not go according to plan when he tries, even with the help of his new pony friends.

Thorax has just been named the king of a new hive of changelings that have turned on their queen. He is now tasked with reforming the rest of the "black" changelings in his hive. It hasn't been easy and three changelings in particular have given him trouble: his brother Pharynx; Ocellus's best friend Elytra; and the former general of Chrysalis's army Scutellum. Pharynx is wild but seems to still have a desire to stick with the hive. Scutellum, on the other hoof, is violent and fanatical and has influenced Elytra to remain loyal to her "mother". Can Thorax and the other reformed changelings convince them to turn on their evil ways, or will Scutellum threaten an uprising and ruin all of Thorax's hard work?

This story takes place between the events of episodes "Three's a Crowd" and "To Change a Changeling" and sets up for events in my series Flurry Heart's Story.

Inspired (rather obliquely) by the classic British Christmas song A Wombling Merry Christmas.

Equestria is a land of love and friendship, where anypony or anybug can find love. Or at least that's the theory.

With Thorax feeling down, the girls take it upon themselves to get him a date. It quickly becomes obvious why none of the Mane 6 are actually dating anypony themselves. Can Fluttershy heal Thorax's longing heart? Can Rarity finish her embroidery? Will Spike get to do anything important?

Knowing Thorax had struggled to convince some of his follow changelings to change, Princess Twilight Sparkle decided to visit the changeling hive and check up on him.

It turned out, with the exception of one changeling, Pharynx, all of the changelings had finally accepted the new way and had transformed as a result. Even so, as the Princess of Friendship, Twilight took it upon herself to get Pharynx to change his ways and learn friendship.

No matter how many times Pharynx says "no".

Pharynx was considered a nuisance to the Hive for quite some time. He was destructive, he wasn’t nice enough, and so he was resented.

Eventually, he reformed, and everyone couldn’t be happier for it.

Excluding Pharynx.

Thorax has a crush on a certain mare. What if she doesn't love him back? And how can he get her to notice him?

Autumn Blaze is using the power of the Book of All Stories to put on a brand-new play. She has no idea that Pharynx and a contingent of changelings have infiltrated the production, planning to steal the Page for themselves.
