I didn't know I needed a story about a beleaguered pre-change Pharynx just trying to do his job and keep his underlings from ruining everything with their incompetence until I read this, but it was and is a delight from start to finish.
I'm normally firmly on the side of Good/Chaos, and yeah, seeing Pharynx unbend even just a little bit and admit that maybe being a stage actor is not terrible is my preferred ending -- but even so, I still really enjoyed the satisfaction of seeing a plan well-executed in the Villain ending.
A+ would watch a combined Kirin and Changeling troupe put on a play again.
