Wubsy the changeling has been living with Vinyl Scratch and Octavia Melody for quite some time now, but never wondered how the couple met until now. The story behind their first meeting is not quite what she expected.

(Inspired by but unrelated to Shukumei's excellent Fun With Changelings)

Octavia was no stranger to mistakes. She had plenty of shows that slowly went south, but she was usually able to fix things before they got too bad. But after a good night of celebrating, she causes a major rift between herself and her now former lover. Despite a month having passed, Octavia wants to try and clear the air.

After the Gala, and Pinkies stunt with the Poney Pokey song, nopony will take Ocvavia seriously as a musician anymore. After weeks of hunting for a job and living off anything she can scrape together, she finds a very successful nightclub which is looking for new employees. A job is offered to her by the new owner of the club, Vinyl Scratch, and she takes it without a second thought. At first all they are are coworkers but Vinyl soon realizes that she wants to be more than that with the cellist.

[Takes place after my story, Whisper in My Ears, if you haven't taken a look at it you will probably be lost on this one]Spike gets an invitation, from Octavia, to an Orchestra show. The catch? Derpy delivered the invitation the day the show will start! Will Spike be to late and fail to show up on time? Or will Spike get more then he bargained for when finally getting there on time?

Octavia's had a rough day today. Luckily her ever cheerful marefriend is there to turn a bad day into a good evening.

Octavia Melody is in a bit of a spot. Life on the Manehattan Space Station isn't easy for most ponies to begin with, but when your BitCard balance is zeroed out and you're living meal to meal? It starts to feel like things couldn't get much worse.

The problem is that that sort of thinking only invites more trouble.

When Octavia suddenly finds herself stuck in the middle of a plot that could destroy the whole of the Grand Equestrian Empire, the source of her next meal is going to be the least of her concerns. Now she must find the Elements of Harmony, unravel the secrets of the Empire, save the universe, and, just maybe, find a way to make some friends.
