After pictures from her phone get posted online, that human five confront Sunset with the information. After discovering that she and the others had very different ideas about how to confront her, Rainbow Dash finds herself defending Sunset from the rest of her friends.

Rainbow siding with Sunset didn't change all that much. Sunset was still successfully framed, Sunset still lost most of her friends, Sunset will still go back to being the most hated student at CHS, but she won't have to face any of it alone, and that will make all the difference in the world.

Let's talk about combinatorics.

There is one way for none of the five to remain on Sunset's side, there are five ways for one of them them to side with Sunset, there are ten ways for two of them to do so, there are ten ways for three of them to do so, there are five ways for four of them to do so, and there is one way for all of them to do so. Out of these thirty two possible configurations, almost every Anon-a-Miss story sticks to the first one.

I did a tally once upon a time and what I found was that 96.9% of possibilities were almost never explored, and 87.5% were never explored at all (no "almost" necessary.) These figures get rather more abysmal if you're looking at who did or didn't side with Sunset from the start. The rare stories that have one or more of the five side with Sunset tend to have the initial confrontation go down pretty much canonically, and then have someone have a change of heart later on.

So, in the interest of stuff, here's a thing where Sunset has someone on her side from the very start. Most of the first chapter was released two months early on my Patreon page, for subscribers only, as you might imagine.

The love between AppleJack and Rainbow Dash has already been on a slow burn, but what could make it blaze fully?

Sunset Shimmer's demonic form has been defeated, and now she lies at the bottom of a crater caused by the magical explosion. Tragically, the explosion wasn't without dire consequences. Magic doesn't work the same in the human world as it does in Equestria, as everyone will learn the hard way.

Rainbow Dash is willing to make a lot of sacrifices for her oldest and best friend. Some of them are less a sacrifice than she lets on. But it's cool. Fluttershy's cool. As long as nobody else notices...

When Equestrian Rainbow Dash steals the human Rainbow Dash's phone, the two hold a competition to decide who keeps it. But, more importantly, the contest will determine which of them is better!

When Rainbow Dash gets a copy of the last Gargantulon movie for her birthday, she's left floored by its tragic ending-- which forces her to take matters into her own hands!

While a stressful headache a lot of the time, being the ruling princess of Equestria does have some perks. One of those being, if Twilight Sparkle wants to celebrate her birthday by inviting all of her friends, she can do so, even if "all" includes those living in a whole alternate reality. Sure, some work will need to be done to make sure that everyone knows who's actually a pony and who's a temporarily-transformed human, and a few of her other friends will need to be informed that the mirror portal exists shortly before being sworn to secrecy about it, but she can make it work.

Agreeing to come to a party in the magic horse dimension had been a no-brainer for Rainbow Dash, and she's ready to party hard, hopefully while having a opportunity to test these wings out in the process, but when she arrives, she notices someone.

Applejack. The other Applejack. On the arm--foreleg?--of the last person she expected.

It turns out there's somebody else at the party experiencing the same shock. Or rather, somepony.

Maybe together they can figure out how they feel about it.

Having been close friends their whole lives, it was only natural that a matter as personal as faith and beliefs would come to Fluttershy and Rainbow as a topic of conversation. Naturally, the two aren't exactly on the same page with that question, yet what follows isn't the kind of talk they were expecting.

Twilight and the gang had just defeated Sunset Shimmer and had their best Fall Formal Dance ever. A month later, stories of Rainbow Dash winning against Twilight Sparkle in a soccer match began to spread. There was one thing she didn't like about the rumor; Twilight scored once against her despite being a beginner and her being the captain of all sports team.

It was then Rainbow Dash decided to find who spread the rumor and make them clear the misunderstanding the school had. Can she find the one responsible?
