Count Dracula is the Prince of Darkness, Lord of Castlevania, and King of Vampires. He is seemingly the personification of all that is evil, and is the ultimate enemy of mankind.

He is also Mathias Cronqvist, a former Warrior of God who loved and was loved as fiercely as any other, and a man who lost everything he held dear.

After the Count is vanquished by his own son, his appeal for forgiveness catches the ear of the very God he had dared to oppose. And instead of returning to the dark void of death to await his resurrection, Dracula is given a choice; let go of his anger and find new life in a new world, or cling to his hatred and continue the cycle of darkness forevermore.

Dracula chose life.

And now he finds himself in a new world, completely devoid of humans, but containing civilizations of a much more...furry kind. Of course, even in a world as open and accepting as Equestria, darkness is still something many of its denizens fear to an irrational extent. And Castlevania is certainly dark. Can the Count learn to coexist with the ponies of Equestria and allow the warmth of love and friendship to reenter his icy heart? Or will he lose it all in the coming battle against his ultimate enemy, the traitorous Demon Lord Galamoth?

When a drowning Twilight Sparkle is pulled from the ocean by a group of salvagers, she receives news that changes her life: she is now two-thousand years into the future, and Equestria no longer exists. Instead, there is the kingdom of Centuria, ruled over by the seemingly immortal tyrant, King Ganymede.

In this new world, unicorns are a rare sight and advanced technology is shunned by the general public. Twilight finds allies in Kevrana, a salvager with a heart of gold, and Hadran, Kevrana's suspicious and cynical brother. As a war brews in the land, Twilight, with only her new friends and legends of a strange place called the Vale to guide her, must set out to unravel the mystery of how she came to be in the future, and whether or not she can ever return to her own time.

This story is a sequel to The Rainbow's Surprise

On the day of Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash's wedding, Princess Celestia left Twilight a message saying that she should prepare herself if something happens. The next morning, Twilight awakens to find that all of Ponyville has succumb to a blinding fog. She must now travel a monster-filled town in search for her teacher and friends and try to return Ponyville back to the way it was.

Echo is a high ranking changeling officer. The Canterlot invasion was going perfectly, and her battalion had personally defeated the Elements of Harmony. Suddenly, she finds herself far flung from Canterlot, crashing into the Everfree forest. Now she is faced with a difficult reality - her hive, the only family she's ever known, no longer exists, and she must adapt to life as a pony. What she finds out about herself, though, will surprise her.

Rated Teen for occasional suggestiveness and language, tagged gore for brief violence, particularly in later chapters.

Dark because later chapters get pretty ... well, dark.

Addendum 5/29/2018

This story is now, as of this addendum, five years old. It is getting more attention as I put out new chapters on the sequel.

I recognize that this story has problems, and that some of them by their nature carry over to the sequel; please remember that when I started writing this, I was not yet even old enough to legally drink in the US. A lot has happened and a lot has changed, and there are many things about this story I regret including, but which it is now too late to change. Some of those things I have simply done my best to ignore and make irrelevant, but some of them are errors from a 19 year old me that will haunt me until the sequel is finished.

In short, please be gentle.

Searching for any records King Sombra may have left behind, Twilight learned of the shadowy king's tragic past. However, she also discovered his horn, in which his mind and remaining power were contained. Determined to learn how to use his Dark Magic for Good, Twilight brought Sombra back to Ponyville with her. After all, what could he possibly do as a horn? ...Or will he stay that way?

This story is a sequel to The Eagle Is Sealed

While Luna spends her time chatting with the three astronauts onboard Columbia on the three-day trip back to Earth, the humans still on the planet have to deal with the fallout her appearance has caused. Unfortunately for Charlie, that fallout starts for him as Soviet interest .

Now they're after him. He'll have to avoid, evade, and straight-up fight the full might the Soviet spy machine can bring to bear upon one man. Hopefully it'll be enough to keep him out of their clutches.

For if they can't have him, they'll do their best to make sure no one else can, either.

Remember the Protoss ship from Starcraft Heart of the Swarm? The one from the "Enemy Within" mission? The one that started with sneaking? Niadra (the broodmother that eventually infested the place) lost contact with the Queen of Blades more than fifty years ago. Since then, the Zerg aboard that ship have flourished... until one day when they came across an unknown planet and were pulled in. The atmosphere did little to the ship, but the crash did.

The horrific Zerg within, Niadra included, perished... all save for one little Drone. Free of any control, this Drone has only three directives: multiply, infest, thrive.
