Twilight is not okay. That much is certain. She hasn't been okay for a very long time. It's been so long since she's felt anything but numbness and apathy...

Day quickly turned to night. Jokes were had, memorable ones to be referenced for years to come with 'snrk's and quiet giggling that just couldn't stop once it had started. Twilight watched the hours pass by from behind her eyes, silently counting down the seconds between jokes and the odd retelling of a story. The sun went down, the ceremony was over. Ponies stayed, either the crew, the other Princesses, her friends. The night got darker, the grounds were cleaned, most ponies left, the train was coming.

Sunset Shimmer is not a good person. She knows this.

She may be better than she was, she may have learned how to help rather than hurt, but she’s far from perfect. The scars lining her arms? She’s earned them. She deserves them.

But that doesn’t mean that someone else deserves the same.

We all hope that nothing but good will come our way, but all of us know this won't always be true. For Twilight, today is, sadly, such a day, as news reaches her ears of something terrible happening to somepony in Ponyville.

“Hey, it’s Wallflower. I’m not at the phone right now, but you can leave a message, or text me. Or don’t. You probably dialed me by mistake. Beep.” 

Wallflower has a history of depression. One night when Sunset can’t get through to her, she’s forced to go and look for her with the help of a friend. Where could she have gone? Is it too late? Sunset will make sure it isn’t. Wallflower deserves so much more.

Okay, sure. It's another 'human gets thrown into Equestria as an existing character' story. Still, that doesn't mean 'Chrysalis' has any idea what to do. She doesn't remember everything from her past life, but she is pretty sure she was once a human from Earth.

She wakes up to see Starlight Glimmer, the one who lead the small team to destroy her throne, holding out a hoof. The unicorn is offering a chance for Chrysalis to lead the changelings properly. Logically, she should take that offer. The future of not accepting friendship yields an end written in stone.

But there's always a choice.

The idea of what would happen if Chrysalis hadn't been so gung-ho on revenge at the end of the Season 6 finale wouldn't leave me alone. In real life, I don't deal in what-ifs. In fiction, I'm a bit more open to the prospect.
Quick warning: There is an attempt at suicide and bodily harm in the first chapter. Just thought I'd point that out so you'd be prepared.

Rainbow Dash is fine, despite what her friends think. There's nothing wrong. She's just tired, that's all.
