Sweet Tale is just your average Earth Pony. He spends his day writing stories, eating as many raspberry turnovers as he can get his hooves on, and sketching the scenery and nature of Ponyville. He spends his evenings, on the other hoof, adoring Princess Luna and her night sky. While he gazes at her stars, he dreams up ways he can get her attention — even if it's only for a moment.

But a chance encounter in Sugarcube Corner one morning will change his life forever...

It's springtime in Equestria and Twilight Sparkle and Princess Celestia find themselves out of sorts despite the gorgeous weather. Luna and Rarity both think they know the reason behind their moodiness and set out to make sure that true love blossoms - but will an unfortunate misunderstanding keep the two star-crossed lovers apart forever?

Some career paths are more demanding than others. Few know that better than Starshine, a batpony who always dreamed of managing and preserving books too dangerous for layponies to even look at. For her, joining the Night Guard to prove herself before the Princesses didn't seem like a bad idea. At least, it did not seem like a bad idea until Princess Luna picked her as the only guard to help her explore a place of wild magic and eldritch mysteries sealed for centuries.

On the other hoof, Princess Luna is having the time of her life. Fighting the undead and stopping cosmic abominations are not skills she gets to practice very often.

Second place in the second edition of The "New Blood" Contest, featuring the bonus prompt "Two PoVs that run concurrently."

Decades after the founding of Equestria, the nation faces an existential threat -- a war with the dragons.

The dragons have proposed a truce. Luna and Discord are uncertain, but Celestia insists that they must give the dragons the benefit of the doubt, and accept the truce.

This turns out to be a mistake.
