What do you do when your world collapses? When a pony you thought you knew turns her back on you? How do you cope when the pieces don't fit and your friendship comes crashing down? A certain white unicorn is devastated when she finds her pegasus friend of many years to be a cold and broken shell of who she once was.

Rainbow Dash has fallen in love with a new kind of sport: Bare-hoof brawling. It's a dangerous sport; one that requires a lot of guts, but she's totally up for it. There's only one place in Equestria that has violent sports like that, and that place is Glitzville, a small, flying town with an action packed fighting ring called The Glitz Pit. When Rainbow arrives and shockingly sees who the champion of The Glitz Pit is, she promises herself that she would become number one no matter the cost! However, as she continues to fight, the more she realizes that she had gotten herself into a little more than she was offered.

It isn’t often that Rarity can spend time with both Octavia and Vinyl. Twilight and Applejack being available as well makes for a pub dinner not to be forgotten.

Some friendships at the table are closer than others, and some are older than others. As the conversation continues, it also gets a bit personal for all concerned.

Vinyl and Octavia has recently moved to Vinyl's old hometown of Ponyville for a change of pace.
What the pair didn't count on was the appearence of a certain pink pony who drags up bad memories from a certain gala for the grey earth pony. Luckily those memories won't stay with her for that long.

Rarity, Octavia and Trixie are each artists. And they are all having a bit of trouble lately finding motivation for their work. They each must go on their own seperate journeys to find out what their art means to them.

Rarity is frustrated by a lack of originality in her designs, and longs for something to set her apart from the rest. Octavia is struggling to be heard in a large and loud musical community, and thinks she may have finally found her big break--that is, if she can put her best hoof forward when the pressure is on. Trixie, now a professional storyteller, has found moderate success, but is faltering now that she's struggling generating new material. With nopony to fall back on for help, she decides to pack up her belongings and go on a journey without a destination to find a story of her own.

This is an idea I came up with while I was struggling to find a place where I could give something of my own to the massive and amazing brony community. I spent a lot of time thinking about what I have to give, and whether it would even be worth it, given all the talent so much greater than mine that is already out there. I hope to use this story to explore what art means to me, and what it means to different people. It is really three seperate stories being told at the same time. If everything comes together the way that it's working in my head, all the stories will progress together simultaneously, but seperately. They start in about the same place, but they will branch off in different directions and end up in three different places.

This is my first story, and it's awfully ambitious, so if anypony finds this interesting enough to read and comment on, please tell me what I'm doing right and/or wrong, because I'm sure that there's plenty of both. Thanks for reading.

My name’s Marcus. Marcus Cortez. I’m currently a freshman at CUFTA. You don’t know what that means? Well, it stands for “Canterlot University for the Arts.” While it is a little unsettling to go to college in a completely different world from my own, and while being a human in a school full of mostly ponies is a little intimidating, I’m doing fine so far. I don’t have to worry about roommates, since I don’t live in a dorm. I live with my aunt.

Her name is Celestia. Princess Celestia.

You’re probably wondering how a human could be the nephew of a pony, and an alicorn princess, no less. Well, it’s quite the story.

In case you haven't guessed yet this is an anthro story, and my first time writing a story in first person, so we'll see how this goes.

The prologue for this story starts sixteen years prior to the return of Nightmare Moon and the story's main events take place after Season 3 ends.

Twilight has proven to be a bad dancer at the Canterlot Garden Party, however one of Rarity's old friends from Canterlot wants to know why she is a bad dancer.

A couple of ponies find themselves on a Buckball pitch late at night. How they got there isn't important; the important thing is that they're there, and the air is cool, and the cicadas are singing, and the sky is a brand-new color.

Second place in a Quills and Sofas speedwriting contest. Originally written in 70 minutes, this version has been expanded quite a bit! Hope you all enjoy it
