After a crushing defeat suffered from her ungrateful citizens, Starlight Glimmer continues her crusade of bringing Harmony to Equestria. To spread her philosophy further, she sets up a pawn shop in downtown Manehattan where everypony can exchange their cutie mark for a handful of bits. Everypony needs money, but those who don't pay the loan back in time have to say farewell to their talent, becoming yet another follower of equality Starlight dreams about.

The best part? It's all legal. It's not like anypony reads terms and conditions, ever.

Over the course of her adventures, Daring Do has faced all sorts of monsters and villains-- but during a routine visit to a Saddle Arabian bazaar, she finds herself confronted by two unicorn brothers with a terrible thing: a business proposition.

Written for the Springtime Sequel-Slash-Sandbox Switcheroo! Very (very) vaguely based on the work of Impossible Numbers' Horse Apple Turnover as well as his Daring Do stories like Jungle Tricks.

Sun comes down, Moon goes up. Moon is lowered, Sun is raised. Ever since Discord was originally defeated, that has been the pattern, the heart of stability for life in Equestria, a celestial sign that ponies retain the helm.

But Luna remembers what life was like before, and the shards of beauty which could be found in chaos.

With the second anniversary of the Return approaching along with the associated holiday, Celestia wants to know if there's anything Luna would like to do in marking the occasion. And all Luna wants -- is an eclipse.

Other than Celestia and Luna, nopony has seen an eclipse in more than a thousand years.

This could be a problem.

(This story takes place along the general Triptych timeline, several moons before Luna's Lottery Lunacy.)

A terrible affliction has befallen the peaceful town of Ponyville, and the lavender unicorn and her friends are right in the middle of it! And the edges of it. Heck, it's pretty much lavender unicorns all over.

A story unrelated to anything.

This story is a sequel to The Mess We're In

Flim was never one to argue with Flam. In fact, if the situation had been any different, they might have been able to work it out. But, fate being the fickle thing that it is had other plans. After a heated fight, they split up. There was no going back, the bridge was burned and the damage done.

It soon becomes apparent that things are never as easy as they seem. Several failed attempts later, Flim is out of energy and ideas. Just when he's about to give up, a chance encounter with Applejack changes everything. Working beside the Element of Honesty was the opportunity he needed. If he could prove his sincerity to her, then nopony would question his desire for an honest life. But, as the days drag on, he realizes a truth that may just jeopardize everything. How can he prove his sincerity when he must constantly hide the truth?

This one has been a long time coming. An Honest Life takes place in the same universe as my long running story, What Changes May Come and runs parallel to This Cruel and Random World. There are some aspects from those stories in this one, but there's no need to read either to enjoy this one. Essentially the events are cannon until the middle of season 4.

Prereading by Asher-N-Hunt-Editin, SageBrony07, and Nomad_Sigma. Cover art by me. This story would not have been possible without wonderful advice from SageBrony07. I can't thank them enough for their time and effort on this story.

Flim has a golden ticket. Princess Twilight and her new wife Applejack desperately require his signature on some very important paperwork. Obviously this is the sort of thing that should be worth quite a lot of bits up front, with the potential for favors at some point in the future. Flim and Flam hold all the cards, and there's no way this could go wrong.

Oh yeah, and there's a foal involved too. Not that that really matters.

Written for the Writeoff Association's prompt "A Matter of Perspective."

As far as Flim and Flam were concerned, they'd snatched some patsy with a friendly face off of the side of the road. For Silver Shill, the story is rather more complicated.

A heavily modified form of an entry in the March 2015 Writeoff Competition. Prompt: "The Best Medicine"

Why do they keep coming back? Maybe it's wounded pride: they were humiliated once, and so they have to get one con over on Ponyville to heal their egos. Or a lot more than one, given all of the successive embarrassments. But either way, the brothers have returned to the scene of their crime(s) so often as to give Pinkie a tail twitch configuration just for their presence. Something which leads her and Twilight to a huge tent in the Everfree, one which has free drinks, slot machines, and happy ponies who haven't lost so much as a tenth-bit.

They can't lose.

As far as the latest con goes, that's just part of the setup.

The Flim-Flam Brothers fully anticipated a couple of failures every now and then. It's not like it mattered. After all, there was still tons of opportunity to go around, right?

Not exactly. The little song-and-dance cider business never really panned out. After a nasty argument stemming from a particularly embarrassing failure, the two brothers decided it was best to split up and take their ideas elsewhere.

Well, one brother has hit the jackpot, while the other hasn't been so lucky. And now, after a long period of silence, the brothers find themselves meeting face-to-face once again. Only this time, they're not strictly talking business.
