Contains spoilers from Season 9 Episode 21!

After years and years of being archenemies with little interest in reconciliation, all it took was one little adventure for Daring Do and Dr. Caballeron to bury the hatchet and become friends, resulting in them writing a collaboration novel under their aliases. But after a few months of traveling around Equestria to promote the book together, something happens when the pair are in Fillydelphia during a Daring Do convention.

The wild, unsettled lands of Equestria are littered with ruins. Ancient temples, tombs, and testaments to long dead groups of ponies who decided to pass on the whole "Unification" fad and lost that gamble in Ozymandian fashion.

Some are filled with powerful lost magic relics. Others are overflowing with gold and treasure. (If you believe the legends, at least.)

There exist only a rare selection of ponies who know how to safely delve these deathtraps to recover these lost pieces of history (and fewer still who would willingly accompany them).

But for these brave or foolish few, there is nothing more rewarding.

Daring Winifred Do, the youngest daughter of one of the wealthiest families in Equestria, is dispatched with her elder sister to oversee an archaeological expedition deep on the farthest edge of Southern Equestria.

Deep in the Red Desert, archaeologists have unearthed a strange and ominous pyramid. A pyramid that the locals desperately fear--even as they refuse to acknowledge its existence.

Its purpose was forgotten millennia prior. It was abandoned and forgotten, lost to the sands.

And Daring Do quickly realizes that perhaps it was better off left that way.

She watched uncaringly as one she disliked disappeared. She watched angrily as the one she loved vanished. She watched almost sadly as a friend was spirited away. She too was soon transported through the void- to a new world, a new body. Now she has but one goal, she will find her beloved again... And these new henchponies will help, whether they like it or not.

Note: I have yet to notice any fimfiction stories with a displaced Ahuizotl and figured I'd try my hoof at it. it popped into my head the other day while I was helping a neighbor with some yardwork. I definitely do plan to go through and update my other stories. Also, there will be a mixed batch of genderswaps in this story just because.

Since the dawn of Equestria, the Agency has protected the realm from every manner of hideous magical creature. Largely by putting them various places where ponies probably won't go.

Forcibly recruited via a burlap sack, Fluttershy is assigned to inventory a site that has become a center of magical gastropod evolution--only to have her plane shot down by a mysterious unicorn.

Injured and trapped in the Forest of Snails, she finds that there was far more in those swampy, moist lands than she was led to believe.

Daring Do is an adventurer who transforms the tales of her adventures into stories for all of Equestria to enjoy. Now that she and Caballeron have become a team and Ahuizotl was revealed to have good intentions from the start, there's not much material to write about anymore.

Hungry for new adventures, Daring Do and Caballeron set out to find an adventure they could go on. Unfortunate for them, they find an adventure that's more dangerous than meets the eye. Tangled up in a new villain's scheme to steal artifacts from Ahuizotl, they might just find the greatest adventure of all is their path to becoming more than just friends.

Author's Note: A shipping experiment because... Quibble Pants x Daring Do is no longer possible due to the new episode in Season 9.

Daring has heard about this ancient fruit in her childhood but was never ready or able to see this fruit for herself. Until now.

Daring is going on her most personal mission yet to find this magical fruit that she has wanted to see all of her life. Now there is only one question.

I wrote this story for an Iron Author contest. It was my first time trying something like this, and I hope I did a good job.

Daring Do's ongoing battle against Ahuizotl has come to a bitter turn. The fiendish immortal's plan hits close to home when a local singer is kidnapped to finalize his latest plan to control the sun and become a god. Daring Do must race against the clock and her own aging body to return Sweetie Belle to safety.

Button Mash's luck stays true to form as he finds himself neck-deep in the rescue effort. He's scrawny, weak, and untrained, relying on Daring Do and her crew of warriors to survive the fight. But when Sweetie's fate hangs in the balance, will he have what it takes to step up?

At the heart of it all, Sweetie Belle learns that her voice has the power to change the course of the world. As Ahuizotl tightens his grip on his victims, she might be the only hope for Equestria.

Can an adventurer past her prime, a stallion with more doubts than answers, and a singer with a heavy heart save the world?

After an interesting night followed by an even more interesting morning, Daring Do and Dr. Caballeron head out of their hotel and grab breakfast at a cafe, here they decide to actually talk about what happened, their new relationship, and their past lives before they met.

The "sex" tag is for references.

Fluttershy is captured by Caballeron and his gang of thugs and mercenaries. Stuck in a cage in an odd transport vehicle, she's taken far, far away from Ponyville. They are going to Ahuizotl, a name she knows from the Daring Do books, but what could he want with her?

This was written as part of a season 9 writing contest, where each entrant got a different prompt, with 5 random characters or concepts to include.
