It was strange, the little things they remembered.
---
Semi-vent piece written to come to terms with recent familial deaths.
Sunset Shimmer was highly known ever since the Fall Formal incident. That is, until she unexpectedly commited suicide, via knife to the chest. They came to the conclusion that it was depression which lead her to take her own life away.
However, not everyone agrees.
Together, the rest of the Mane gather clues and information, in an effort to find the real reason behind her suicide.
That is, if it is suicide to begin with.
This story is a sequel to A Daughter and her Dragon

This is a collection that answers some questions in A Daughter and her Dragon, so it contains spoilers up to chapter seven. It is recommended that you read those chapters first for context.
Searching for a safe haven and peace of mind far away from the rising capital of Equestria and her sister, Luna's heart drifts away as she finds herself longing for a life that wasn't truly hers.
But as pleasant and comforting as that life seemed, just like a flame under the northern winds, it also was brief.
When Sunset Shimmer was blasted by the elements of harmony, something went very wrong. Instead of sending her into a crater, she was lunged in the air. Sunset Shimmer crashed to the ground, an audible snap could be heard.
This is the first part of my Equestria Girls continuity.
Twilight had never questioned the nature of the Tree of Harmony. To her at least, it stood as a sentinel, a silent guardian watching over Equestria and keeping disharmony at bay.
She soon starts to have questions and misgivings when she inadvertently witnesses the horrifying fate of hers and the rest of her friend's twisted doppelgängers. Did something happen to the Tree of Harmony, or was it always this way?
Twilight aims to resolve this mystery once and for all. Little does she realize that this mystery goes far deeper—the truth far more terrifying than she can imagine.
Will she be able to solve this nightmarish mystery with her sanity intact, or will she surrender and be lost to madness?
After some deliberation I chose to put a Crossover tag as the whole story uses many assets from several stories in the Cthulhu Mythos (most of them written by authors other than Lovecraft).

Even though this is a Prequel of the story "My Little Pony - The Legend of Friendship" you can safely read it if you want. All you have to know is that "The Legend of Friendship" is about an OC that joins the Mane Six on their adventure. This story serves as a background story that will cover some stuff that is yet unexplained in "The Legend of Friendship".
This story is a sequel to Death Battle: The Rainboom Wonderbolt vs The Ryming Swordsman!
Sometime after the first two battles against Starfleet, a much smaller adversary makes their way to the land of Equestria... and ends up butting heads with a certain dragon.
This will be one of the more... unusual battles to say the least.
