Twilight is at Canterlot for one week, and Spike has the library to himself, but one night strange noises wake him up and strange things happen, what is going on?

The Mane Six, Starlight, and Trixie are on their way to a party in Canterlot on a dark and stormy night...so naturally their carriage breaks down and their only possible place to seek shelter is a scary, potentially haunted castle.

Will they survive the night?

INTENDED for this to go up on Nightmare Night, but life decided to say 'nope, you don't get to put that out when you want to', but finally finished.

I admit, this is NOT a type of story I normally do, hope it came out well.

After Twilight Velvet gets held hostage, she is given a doll for comfort as the police in Canterlot clean up the mess. Her assailant has apparently died, and Twilight Velvet gets sent home. She hugs each member of her family in turn and gives Twilight Sparkle the toy she had held for comfort.
In the morning, the young filly is enjoying her new toy, but she seems to be talking to it, and acting as though it can talk. Surely that's just a foalish habit, right?

Luna loves her daughter and will do anything to protect her filly.

She will fight every nightmare, destory every shadow that looms over her. Not matter the cost.

Rarity spies an unknown stallion flirting with Applejack and decides it's time to offer him one last bottle.

It's all in the color, isn't it? We've seen it time and time again. There's a certain limited range of shades which guarantee survival. In fact, that part of the color wheel means staying in the world whether you want to or not, even if you should have passed on long ago.

So in the end, it's not that her fur means Fluttershy CAN'T die. It's more that the network isn't going to LET her.
