Yes, after over eight years on the site and I don't know how many words put down in comments over that time, I'm finally putting up an actual story. Well, "story". I do occasionally write, or more often imagine and not bother to write, various pieces of fiction, and this I expect to be more a collection of them than something that ever has much of a "chapter" to "chapter" cohesive narrative. The first five of the six "chapters" I'm planning to post at the start have already been blog posts (though with some reformatting and such)... but the sixth, I've not posted anywhere before. In the future I might dig through my past for more old fragments, and there's a chance that perhaps having this "story" out will encourage me to actually write more.

No idea how often this'll actually update, though. Also, not sure how much the things in here will be edited; despite how much time I've spent editing other people's stories, I have little enough successful experience writing that I'd rather focus on getting down what I can. Base level shouldn't be too bad, though, knowing me.

Also, I'm surprised to see that apparently no one else on the site has used "Ostraca" for a story title. Eh.

(Also, rating this Teen just to be safe. No idea if that is or will be needed (I am, again, very new to this story-posting thing), but it seemed prudent given my uncertainty about whether it's needed or not.)

Charli D'Amelio's best friend Staseiy Szmmiyth bought her a pair of expensive brand headphones for her birthday. That's when her day got weird. Then, a group of strangers in black broke into her McMansion and burgled some worthless items, making weird motions all around the house. Charli and her family were so scared! After they left, the family called the police, but Charli needed an escape. She decided to start listening to some Spotify with her new headphones! She closed her eyes, and next thing you know, she was a land called... who's your mama? Equestria? Like from My Little Pony? How did she get here? Did someone curse her headphones, and if so, who?

And now she's caught up in the mystery of a lifetime. Saddle Sunshine, a new pony in town, is missing, and it's up to Charli and the Main 6 to find her! But Charli needs to get out before the episode ends, because if she doesn't, she could be erased from the planet for good.

The Cutie Map is always known for calling it's share of creatures to all sorts of locations for the greater good of its assigned missions, but still it sometimes works in mysterious ways. After being injured by a SAM missile, Nickolas dive into a cloud to take cover, but when he came out, the pilot found himself not in Russia anymore; but in a land filled with mythological creatures. Due to the lack of fuel, he landed in a volcanic area filled with dragons. Taken by Dragon Lord Ember, Nickolas can either choose to escape or to stay and protect these creatures from an incoming danger.

Hoping to make some extra money over the summer, Sunset Shimmer takes a job as the new nightguard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Little does she know that this will be the longest and most terrifying night of her life. Can she make it through the night and make it out alive?
