From the Woods...

The sun was shining brightly over the landscape, a rainbow seen over the horizon. A very peaceful day as one Twilight Sparkle was driving her car through the road, passing across the trees. She was looking forward for the day ahead, having plans set with her friends for tonight. Twilight let out a sigh of content… Then her car came to a sudden stop.

Smoke was pouring out of the coffin as the entire car rumbled. Twilight raised her eyebrow before stepping out of the car. Opening up the coffin, she was greeted by the sight of a coughing motor. Fortunately, there was one simple solution as Twilight walked over the car’s trunk, and opened it…

…And there was nothing.

No tool box. Nothing.

Twilight’s eyes widened in shook, and face palmed. Sighing, she closed the trunk and sat on it. Well, at least the forest was a harmless place. It was still a sunny and wonderful day, so it was only matter time of calling one of her friends to pick her up.

That’s it, until everything around her went dark. The sun had descended to the horizon, a mist was overtaking the whole environment, and somehow, yet still believable, the trees took a rather creepy appearance. Clouds started to appear, and a howl could be hear from the distance. Without missing a beat, Twilight pulled out her phone-

Out came the sound of bushes rustling. Twilight quickly turned around, her whole body tense…

A small chirp was all what came as a squirrel came out of the bushes, no doubt the source of the rustling. Twilight let out a sigh of relief, giggling to herself over how silly she was getting scared of a small critter.

“YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGH!!” the squirrel suddenly screamed at the top of his lungs in fright, his eyes widening as Twilight was caught off guard.

Twilight looked back at the squirrel, who run back to where it came from. What the heck he did just saw? Twilight looked around the place, squinting her eyes to see if there was anyone else present. Then she managed to catch glance of a silhouette.

The silhouette appeared to be that a woman with long hair, standing among the trees. Now Twilight understood why the squirrel was scared, not used to see people appearing out of nowhere. Actually, now that there was someone here…

“Hey, excuse me?” Twilight called to the woman, waving at her. “Can you help me?”

The silhouette moved as if meant to be a reply.

“You see, my car needs some fixing,” Twilight continued on as the mysterious woman started to get close. “And I don’t didn’t brought any tools with me. Do you know-” Twilight was abruptly interrupted by the roar of thunder, then a flash of lightning.

Twilight’s eyes widened to the point her pupils were dots… It wasn’t who she was talking to, but what came into her mind, what the actual crud she was looking at?

This… Demon? Monster? Nonetheless, it had the appearance of a woman with long, blonde hair. Horns were sticking out of its forehead, and the skin was deathly pale. Not helping matters were the arms, or rather, the monstrosity that was the right arm! All black with red, pulsating veins, and spikes! The claws were also big, enough to rip anything apart… The left arm, or lack of arm, was some kind of arm cannon made of metal, shaped like a shotgun!

Its clothes were goth, that’s the best way to describe it, and the feet… Black and red with claws! The monster’s eyes were red in slits, glaring down at Twilight. It opened its teeth, an apparent show of a smirk.

Twilight did the most reasonable thing.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!” Twilight’s eyes popped out of her sockets as she screamed, before running the crud out of here!

You may ask, didn’t she had the Geode with her to deal with this kind of troubles? Problem is, she didn’t brought it with her, and to be fair she didn’t expected to come across with such a monster! Did it came from Equestria!?

All what Twilight wanted was to get out of here, fast, or she will be the dinner of the monster!

It started to rain as Twilight ran through the trees, jumping over pits, fallen tree trunks, and ducking under any tree branch. She didn’t even dared to look behind, she knew pretty well the monster was after her. It didn’t mattered if her legs hurt, survival was on her mind…

Fortunately, something was up ahead, a cave!

Twilight made her inside, going to where it was mostly dark. She just hoped the monster didn’t had some kind of nocturnal vision. Now only her eyes were visible among the dark, panting to regain her breath.

“Now, got to call the girls,” Twilight muttered as she tried to reach to her skirt’s pocket.

She felt a tap in her shoulder.

“Sorry, not now,” Twilight said while still trying- Wait…

Twilight slowly turned around, her eyes wide in anticipation.

A pair of red slit eyes greeted her. Then it flashed a smile seen through the dark.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!” the entire cave shook as one purple blur bolted out of the cave!

Twilight continued to scream as she ran through the woods, the monster chasing after her!

Up ahead, Twilight saw a fall tree trunk, close to what it appeared to be a slope. Then a flashbulb suddenly lit up inside of Twilight’s mind! As she got close to the trunk, Twilight gave it a nice kick to the back before jumping into the trunk!

She had to thank Rainbow Dash for the snowboarding lessons as she stood still on the trunk as it began to descend down the slope very fast, which was actually a hill. Adrenaline and excitement went through her body, along with relief. Weird mix of feelings, she had to note, but she was getting away from the monster!

Twilight looked around the environment with a smile, then looked behind… And that’s where her smile was gone the moment she saw the monster sliding down in a tree trunk after her!

“Oh, screw me!” Twilight exclaimed as she focused back on the road.

It had to be a coincidence, there were ramps up ahead. Either way, it was the perfect chance to catch more speed. With that in mind, Twilight made a slide to the nearest one, and shortly afterwards, she found herself launched into the air!

A shadow passed over her, no doubt on guessing who decided to the same thing. Except, the monster ended up launching higher, and as it descended, even flipping in the air complete with a peace sign pose!?

That was the least of the problems, since now there was one up ahead with some factors to take into account.

A – The monster was now ahead of her.

B – The monster was about to land into the ground first.

C – Twilight was heading straight into the same spot the monster was about to land.

…Uh oh.

CRASH

Both Twilight and the monster ended up bouncing down the hill, painfully, each “Eeep” coming out of her each time she hit the ground to bounce back up. She could have sworn to hear the monster yelp “Yeouch!”. Must be her imagination, but even then, she could think properly, until she came down to stop.

Twilight blinked as she lifted her face from the ground. She pushed herself to her feet afterwards, letting out a sigh. She noticed, however, that just 500 centimeters away, there was a cliff. Another sigh left her lips as she thought over how lucky she got there.

Suddenly, a dark blur landed in front of her! Twilight gulped as she watched the monster slowly getting up to its feet, it’s back turned from her… Then the monster turned around-

POW!

A flying tree trunk just hit it right into its face, earning a snarl of pain as the monster was sent flying… Over the cliff!

Twilight quickly ran over the cliff, a sudden pang of worry forming in her chest. She looked down at the cliff, only to find no one…

The monster was gone.

Twilight shook her head, and decided to head back to where her car was, her eyes lidded in a rather melancholy way. She checked her phone, unbroken surprisingly enough. All she needs to do is to go back to her car, and call any of the girls, most preferable Applejack. She would most likely lend her the tools she need.

A shadow loomed over her, and before she could react, there was it again! Landing on its feet, the monster looked down at Twilight with lidded eyes, a bump present in between the horns. The injury didn’t stopped the monster to look threatening…

“…You wouldn’t punch a person with glasses, do you?” Twilight suddenly asked as she pointed at her glasses, trembling in fright.

The monster said nothing, of course. As if on cue, however, it raised the big arm.

Twilight closed her eyes.

…Nothing ever came.

Still trembling, Twilight slowly opened her eyes. Much to her surprise, there was a tool box on the monster’s palm. She looked up at the monster, who just started at her with that lidded expression.

“You said you wanted help, didn’t ya?” the monster asked in a surprisingly human tone, akin to a feisty and sassy woman.

Twilight simply blinked.

With one final turn with the spanner, Twilight closed the coffin. Going back into her car, she turned on the machine, and much to her delight, no smoke, nor a chaotic rumble. The car was able to move freely!

“Thanks. I owe it to you,” Twilight said to the monster, flashing a smile to her.

“Lady, just helping someone In need. No need for thanks,” the monster replied back with a wave of her big clawed hand, giving out a smirk. It was still creepy, but at least she didn’t had any ill intentions…

“So… May I ask why didn’t you said something?” Twilight asked with raised eyebrow.

“Well, that’s a tricky question, because, duh, you didn’t let me speak,” the monster said, putting both of her limbs behind her head. “Really, you guys should know a thing, or two about communication,” she continued on with a roll of her eyes. ”I just turned around when you called me, then I step out, and the weather had to make things worse, huh?”

Twilight just shifted her eyes, blushing in embarrassment. “I’m sorry.”

“Eh, no big deal, really,” the monster cheerfully said as another smile appeared over her face. “No hard feelings here. Besides, a tree trunk to the face was what little tykes play in contrast to...” she bit her lip in thought. “Well, you wouldn’t believe it if I told you.”

“My friends and I already dealt with crazy stuff, so it wouldn’t be surprising… I guess,” Twilight said, scratching the back of her head.

The two just stared silently at each other in awkward silence, a howl heard from the distance.

“Overkill, too much? The mall is already filled with a crud ton of stuff, Rarity,” Rainbow commented as Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and herself made their way to Twilight’s place.

“Oh, I’m aware of the term quality over quantity. It’s just when it comes to new clothing stores, I can’t help it,” Rarity replied as she checked on her phone the new stores. “You may don’t know what to find.”

“Oh, oh! And let’s not forgot about the tasty new pasties stores!” rather than walking, Pinkie was bouncing up and down. “Or heck, party stuff! Or-”

“Just saying. The Mall’s gotten bigger since, what? 5 years ago? I’m just looking forward to the video games,” Rainbow flashed a smirk, just as the three were at Twilight’s door.

“Twilight!” Pinkie cheerfully greeted as she knocked the door.

"It's open, guys!" out came the reply from Twilight.

Opening the door, “Twilight!” Pinkie cheerfully greeted as she knocked the door

“It's open, guys!“ out came the reply from Twilight.

Opening the door, the three got inside. “Hey, Twily, ready to...“ Pinkie suddenly trailed off, her eyes widened in shock.

Rainbow was similarly in shock, her eyes wide and wondering what she was looking at.

Rarity had her hands over her mouth, too shocked to say something in regards of the monstrosity in front of her.

Said monstrosity was lying on the couch, her eyes fixed on the TV, where an American Football match was being broadcasted live. A can of soda was in her big, clawed hand. She turned to look at the newcomers, raising her eyebrow in curiosity.

“Sup?“ she greeted with a wave of her shotgun arm.

It was there that Rarity did the most reasonable thing.

She fainted.

“Guys?“ Twilight's voice was heard, and sure enough, she came into the room. "Oh, hey, I didn’t expect-" she stopped the moment she saw Rarity on the floor, and that’s where she realized with a grimace. “Yeah, I can explain…”

“Okay…” both Rainbow and Pinkie slowly nodded, wary of the monster in the room, and unsure to what expect from Twilight’s story.

Then again, these girls have been into crazy situations. Sometimes an even crazier incident can outdo the former.
