The planet Equus will be inhospitable in just a few short years. All the creatures on it are preparing to leave for greener pastures. All, that is, except Spitfire.

This fiction is canon compliant. It takes place several years after "The Last Problem".

An entry into Science Fiction Contest III. This fiction is (nearly!) complete and consists of five chapters. Chapters will be released daily.

Management discourages investigation and/or disruption of our planetary operations, which may, or may not, result in bodily injury and/or death of interlopers."

Delving back through the depths of time, mysteries abound, uncovering the veiled origins of everything we think we know. Journey back to a world before Equestria was founded, before the dark forest of Everfree blighted the land.

What shaped the land of ponies all those millennia ago? This is a tale of love turned to jealousy and then hate. Of sacrifice and vengeance. Of pain and desperation in the face of overwhelming power. Was all of it justified? You be the judge.

Lingering questions demand answers: What compelled the forging of the Elements of Harmony? Why have the ponies of Equestria been kept oblivious to their own ancient past? What dark secrets were too terrible to be passed down through the generations? What truly corrupted Sombra and led to Luna's tragic fall from grace? Most importantly, who set all of this in motion, and is everypony safe from it happening again?

Thanks to everyone I've worked on the lore of the saga with over the years.

One fateful day something so unnatural happens in Ponyville that even the Princess' are absolutely dumbfounded. This event marks the day that Fluffle Puff appears.

The past can be a tricky thing. There may be pieces of it that you wish you could erase, or others you desperately want to relive just one more time. In the end, all you can do is move forward.

Because while the past is written in stone, immovable and irreplaceable, the future is being shaped like puddy. And before it dries, you'll have time to leave your mark.

There are many, many things Queen Chrysalis would rather be doing in what little spare time she has than making a trek to the frigid northlands - unfortunately, the intel she collected warrants the long, cold, unpleasant trip. Seriously, who in their right mind would capture a Princess ~ moreover, how could somepony capture a Princess?! With her day thoroughly ruined, she begrudgingly embarks on a small adventure...

Oh, golly! My name is Cozy Glow! I've been living in another dimension! Yeah, they froze me in stone when I was a filly, but that wasn't the end of my story. In the other dimension, nopony had ever heard of me! I was free! But there was just one problem... The whole time, I felt this nagging sensation that I wasn't me! That it wasn't real or authentic and no matter what I did or who I spoke to, these feelings would just not go away...

Still, I kept on living my life there. I used my natural talent for manipulating ponies to provide me with the amenities of life, but those feelings would just not go away! Until one day, I was walking down the street in the other Ponyville, when I saw something... A window... I saw another world behind that window...

Suddenly, I knew where to go!

Time, the ever-flowing measure of action. It is not a physical thing that one can touch or feel, but an abstract thought of the difference between now, then, and later. It is the indefinite continued progress of existence. What happens when one has the ability to control time? He is deemed one of the most powerful beings on the planet, for he can stop you in your tracks without any effort at all.

This is a rewrite of the rewrite. The original Time and Time Again has been removed. I hope you all enjoy this version better.

After delivering some apples to a far away customer, Applejack gets lost on the way home. Stuck dealing with a bunch of troublesome situations and ponies she'd really rather not have to bother with, she just wishes she could find her way home and more than anything to just be able to eat an apple again.
