Books rarely fail Twilight. Friendship is the only thing she couldn't master just by reading a good book, after all; everything else is there, in the library, she just needs to know where to look.

But now her newfound earth pony powers prove to be a mystery. Why are there almost no books about them? And why are the few ones that exist locked in a forbidden section of Canterlot Library? The newly-ascended alicorn decides to investigate it herself, but what she finds only makes her ask more questions.

After Sombra's rule of both Equestria and the Crystal Empire, his Dark Magic transported the School from Land of the Lustrous near the outskirts of the Crystal Empire, which issued a threat between both Sombra's rule and the Gemstones.

Spinel, Phos, Bort, Diamond and the rest of the Gemstones now have to fight for, not for Equestria or the Crystal Empire, but their way to get back to their universe.

It just happens to be a cloud that's been saturated with pegasus magic, to the point where anypony (and anyone) can rest upon it. The support is perfect, the temperature ideal, and Rainbow would do a lot to own one -- except saving up for it, because that's clearly stupid.

But the company has a factory in Canterlot. One which just started offering tours to the public. So in theory, all she has to do is get in there, see how it's done, and then apply that to creating one herself. Getting locked in after hours wasn't part of that plan, but if you're going to be stuck anywhere at night...

She finally had the opportunity. After being summoned by the ancient Grogar, Chrysalis finally has a chance to get Starlight Glimmer for herself and she will not blow it. Meanwhile, Starlight herself has been receiving notes from an unknown source, Twilight has been worrying about losing her girlfriend, and Discord, Tirek, and Cozy Glow all struggle to believe what’s going on between Chrysalis and Starlight.
