As Scootaloo gets everything ready for Nightmare Night festivities, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash sit their 5 year old Granddaughter Sparky down and tells her the story of their first Nightmare Night together as a family.

Amber, a changeling princess, runs away from home after her sister, Queen Chrysalis, creates a plan that crosses the line. She journeys to the far-off land of Equestria in search of somepony who might understand her. She assumes the form of a light blue pegasus pony named Jaywing, and wanders into a village, where she learns just how caring the ponies are.

Note: I am new to FIMFiction, so if anyone has any useful pointers, please give them to me! Anything helpful would be great!

Mystery, by all accounts, lived up to his name perfectly.

A foundling, and nothing more then a servent in a grand mansion, Mystery never thought much beyond his small world, his small family, and his childhood friendship.

But as the saying goes, there is no such thing as life without change.

The Mirror, an inanimate object that allows one to see their true reflection. Many say that even the Mirror isn't as innocent as it seems. Breaking one would mean seven years bad luck and the deadly glass shards it produces when shattered. But what if the mirror has the power to spawn death itself? That's the case for this one particular Mirror. Possessed by a demon of the past, this cursed mirror has spawned the opposite side of one's reflection. The more good in one's heart, the reflected version becomes more deadly and evil. Twilight Sparkle didn't think much of this mirror at first, but now she wishes she'd listen to the warning the sales pony at the yard sale had given her.

Jack came to Equestria.

Unfortunately for Jack he came to Equestria tens of thousands of feet above the ground.

Jack very promptly died in Equestria.

This is how falling works.

Nearly a week since the Storm King's defeat and still no one has seen trace of Discord. For Twilight and friends, what started as mild irritation at Discord's inaction in their most recent crisis has turned to worry at the inexplicable disappearance of their friend. So when he suddenly shows up in Ponyville acting as though nothing's wrong, he certainly has some explaining to do.

And it's an explanation that no one could have seen coming.

Adagio is starving, with very few options for survival. Her magic and singing are both gone. She's at the end of her rope.

The most dangerous predator is the one backed into a corner and out of options. Adagio is one such predator.

This is a story set in Iceman's Friendship Is Optimal universe, but knowledge of that work is not needed to understand this tale.
