Yesterday I discussed some of my own success this past year as well as thanking a lot of the people who made 2015 a good first year here on FiMFiction. This time, I thought I'd discuss some of my favorite stories from my time here so far. You can already peruse my Favorites, true, and you can also see my list of Top 5 Recommendations, but I thought I'd go into a little more detail.
Well, this is aggravating. After these shorts, Tell Your Tale is airing on a biweekly schedule. As such, I’ve had to rewrite a good chunk of my schedule, and now I have YouTube shorts planned from here ’til December. Might as well get this batch taken care of, given that.
Today's St. Patrick's Day (or yesterday was, depending on where you are).
Celebrate responsibly.
Depending on how you define it, the history of Ost-Equestria is either very short - a mere twenty-four years - or quite long indeed, a saga spanning back since the dawn of ponykind. The races of Ost-Equestria tend to take the latter interpretation; in other countries on Equus, the former interpretation is generally considered the correct one. But, whatever the case may be, the causes leading up to the civil war known as The War in The Heavens can be traced back to the foundations of Equestria
CHEERILEE: "Don't get me wrong, I do love my students, but it's so hard finding ways to dispose of the overblown gifts they sometimes give me. I mean, what am I supposed to do, keep that thing in my tiny house? Not happening. Hey, don't judge me, at least I keep their gifts long enough for them to forget before I dispose of them."
Be sure to wish your sister a Happy Mother's Day...
...after all, it's partially your fault.
Last week's thing is done. Another ongoing mess tidied.
This week, it's Weed Day on Weed Month. That means a compilation of stories from our weediest repeat offender. Good luck.
I have been so quiet lately because I have been hard at work (also, I have some important happenings irrelevant to this blog) on some updates. One of those is a brand spankin' new story for Mother's Day. It has been in the works for a few years now. That's right, ya boi wrote a normal Mother's Day story. Probably.

I spent the last 12 hours assembling and struggling with my new computer, discovering the joys of everything from poorly applied thermal paste to improperly connected memory to not-entirely-plugged-in SATA drives.
But at last, I finally live in the world of the SSD, with 32 gigabytes of RAM.
Right now, my computer is installing Windows 10 (huzzah for free OS upgrades), and while it still has my old video card in it (and likely will for several months), it is otherwise up and running.
Happy St. Patrick's Day! The My Little Pony sims in Second Life have prepared for this day, and I'm sharing some screenshots of their special decorations. Also, I'll share some progress I've made with my new pony avatar, as well as a few more snapshots of Second Life pony players in the wild.
Here is Trotsdale's dance/social area all done up for St. Paddy's day.
Or Easter, for ya'll who don't like my name for it. Regardless, I hope you have had a good weekend. And now I have a present for you all:
THE NEXT CHAPTER OF THE TROTTING DEAD IS FINISHED AND HAS BEEN SENT TO KJAY!
And it's only just over two years late!
I'm working on a State of the Horizon post, but in the meantime, a few quick con-related things:
No "Human After All?" I know, boo. But new Turing Test one-shot story? Hopefully yay!
I spent pretty much all of Sunday reading Scribblefest entries, and this is going to be the last Scribblefest-centric review post. On the whole, the finalists had a number of very decent stories, and while I didn’t end up writing a review of every story, I did manage to write reviews for a good number of them.
As always, note that I am but one of nine Scribblefest judges, so my word is not the last one on these.
