So, it has come to this - Reading choices · 11:39pm Mar 11th, 2021

This. My active reading journey has come to this. "Sixteen Ways To Defend A Walled City," by K.J. Parker.

After making several attempts to comprehend old-fashioned siege warfare, through various odd works of fantasy that feature sieges, various books covering historical wars, such as the Punic Wars between Rome and Carthage, and the videos of YouTube channels like "Shadiversity," it's finally come to this. A novel that is completely devoted to a city in a siege.

Reading Reaction #1 Part 7 · 2:22am May 19th, 2022

Chapter 19:

“Wow! The crack is totally gone now. To be honest, I was kind of worried about it. I even asked my brother if horns can heal if they break and he said nope. But never mind that! When did you find out that you can use magic again?”

*evil laughter intensifies*

Apple Bloom facehooved. “From our class!”

Be more specific Applebloom :facehoof: even I as a reader thought you meant the first ever :duck:

A Reading of "Shining? You Think Mom and Dad Might've Been Kidnapped By Ninjas?" · 11:38pm Dec 8th, 2017

I don't blog about readings all that much, but when I get ones that really raise the bar, I do like to show them around a bit. This one is definitely one of those.

Read by Skijarama, it includes sound effects, atmosphere, musical bits... and basically everything I would want in a good reading.

So, give it a listen! Kid Twilight is still cute, isn't she? :twilightblush:

Ponky Snores. · 9:49pm Sep 20th, 2015

You know, some nights. Others I don't know because he's either out late working (all the freaking time), giggling with his girlfriend (all the other freaking times), or inexplicably not home. You know, regular roommate stuff.

Except that he's freaking Ponky.

I've been debating it for months now, and I've finally decided to set up a PayPal-based tip jar for all the editing I do, the link to which can be found on the right hand corner of my profile page if you scroll down just a bit.

Anything and everything helps, and is greatly appreciated!

A unicorn overhears from a hunter that this is the last forest where a unicorn roams. Distrought and worried, she sets out on a quest to find what has befallen the rest of her kind.

A simple plot, but the movie puts it to excellent use. My thoughts behind the cut.

Voice Actors Needed for Reading of "The Youth in the Garden" · 4:25am Jul 29th, 2015

Dear Loyal Watchers, Interested Visitors, and Confused Passersby:

A user named Jim Davis (not the creator of Garfield... I think) has approached me with a kind offer to turn my sole Human-In-Equestria work into a live audio play! I've also managed to interest a noted artist in the fandom, Stainless Key, in on this so I really, really look forward to seeing what happens with the project.

Hello guys & gals,

As some of you might probably remember, Angel Wings started the auditions for a fanfic dramatic reading of an Apple Scratch toward the world. It took her quite some times, but she's almost managed to gather enough people for all the necessary roles!

I say almost, because sadly she's missing four more people for four central roles in the story.

Five Star Service and Rise of Firefly · 12:28pm Oct 23rd, 2016

Surprise, folks! I've just released a new Five Star Service chapter for your reading pleasure, showcasing Five Stars' remaining time with John, her first human lover. In it, reference is made to the following scene from my growing war epic Before the Storm: The Rise of Firefly. I'm excerpting it here to show exactly what Five Stars was referring to in the opening section when she said she had to
