The Question of Value Part 2 - Responses · 9:21pm Mar 28th, 2016

Wow. What a weekend. Views for The Question of Value continue to pour in from every corner of the web, from everywhere from news aggregate sites to tumblr. And with those views came comments, questions, concerns, and even discussion.

Lilith Saintcrow On Piracy · 3:12pm Jun 8th, 2017

This one came across my feed this morning. I'll warn you before I post the link: severe language warning.

Why? Because this author is angry. And you know what? I understand their anger. I really do. I've seen some hard numbers on the Piracy of my books. One site (just one, mind you) kept track of how "popular" piracy of my books was. If I sold half the copies that were pirated, I wouldn't need my second job. I could be writing full time.

This is why I hate fandoms so much [RANT] · 10:42pm Jun 29th, 2021

https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/954592/ive-decided-to-kill-myself

The link above is the last written blog of author PRINCESS CADANCE, who, as the title suggests, has considered ending their own life after a bunch of rabid fans attacked their work, all because of a fetish. Now, the fetish in question is controversial, but that gave them no right to bully them down this path.

Disappointed · 8:38am Sep 10th, 2021

It left a bad taste in my mouth when I found out that Mike Richards appointed himself as the permanent host of Jeopardy! after having a wide array of guest hosts throughout 2021. However, Richards's offensive comments about women, Jews, and Asians in his past podcast have resurfaced, along with his tenure in The Price is Right and accusations of self-dealing. As a result, he's no longer the executive producer and host of the game show. Serves him right!

Maybe it's time to take the nostalgia goggles off. · 8:19pm October 16th

Ugh. Every time RoosterTeeth starts trending, it's never for a good reason. As someone who went through my teens and young adult years watching their content, I can say, without hesitation, that it's time to shut Rooster Teeth down.

Without a doubt, the founders had to work their asses off to get that company off of the ground; an internet animation company that struck gold years before YouTube was even a thing.

Vren55's Controversial thoughts Blog #2 Abortion Laws · 1:16am Mar 25th, 2016

I suppose this will be a regular thing for all of my followers, but if you are new here, this is what I do. I broach a topic, lay out my version, my opinions and thoughts on the matter and encourage feedback and a discussion to go on for which everybody can express his or her opinions in a nice environment. This blog post, unlike my previous one on pornography is going to a little more balanced because in this case my stance on laws banning or allowing abortions are..... undecided. I can't pick

Satan Doesn't Exist · 11:01am Apr 19th, 2021

This isn't about the literal, religious Satan (although that also does not exist, and one of the arguments for why is related to the one laid out here, it is not the topic of this post). This is about metaphorical Satans. Fundamentally, the Satan of Christianity is the personification of, not just the concept of evil, but the concept of the oneness of evil; that is, the idea that all bad things stem from a singular source. This concept, stripped of religious terminology, reaches far

Showing His Place 4 is currently underway · 5:56am Aug 16th, 2019

If you guys have been following my FimFiction account for at least a few months, you might be aware of the monthly polls I hold on my Official Patreon page, in which top-tier Patrons can submit story ideas to be written out at the beginning of each month. And if so, you might also be aware of one particular story which was featured in several of the polls: Showing His Place - Sacrifice. This story is obviously a commissioned sequel for the Showing His Place series, which

The Question of Value · 8:13pm Mar 23rd, 2016

There’s an interesting thought I’ve had bouncing around my head for over a month now, and all the more lately as a result of several other articles and blogs I’ve read that unknowingly touched on the topic in a way, but … how do we value an e-book?

Orlando and Terrorism: A Growing Change · 12:13am Jun 14th, 2016

Normally I prefer to stay out of these kind of controversial issues. As I am neither an avid blogger nor a newsperson, I feel that I would be inadequate in sharing my thoughts on matters that plenty of others have covered. Newstations already have talked in length about this, as have other users and people online. To provide the reader an opinion would require me to go beyond what I intuitively know, but the issue is that this topic makes me think I need to explain everything and

The Lessons Hollywood Won’t Learn From the Halo TV Show · 9:05pm July 28th

Well, we’ve reached that point, now. The Halo TV show has run its course of a full season, the last episodes being in May, the public has had time to digest and deliberate, and now we see the trickle-down effect of how people refer to it in casual conversation.
