TRUMPERT · 4:14pm Jun 24th, 2016

My name is Trumpert. I have decided to run for President of the United States. I’ve really bad hair and have a double chin. I’m wearing a baseball cap and a navy blue suit. I am about 70 years old right now. I’ve been my favorite person in the whole wide world ever since the 1980s! My really bad hair is orange and is combed over. I’m a very loud, boisterous man who verbally threatens people and calls them names. I HATE ETHNIC GROUPS! At one point I saw a black guy in the audience and said,

To Display or Delete: the Pros and Cons of De-publishing Stories · 9:21am Dec 27th, 2015

One of the fundamental eccentricities of fanfiction is the way it is published. Because everything tends to be self-published, centralized, and loosely moderated, removing a story from circulation is a lot easier than in traditional publishing. Taking down a story is often a simple click of a button.

For today’s meandering discussion, let’s talk about de-publishing stories.

Created a group. · 9:51am Feb 22nd, 2014

Global Politics is Magic is a group for stories that feature human reaction to ponies (and other creatures from MLP) on a mass scale. Though some stories about a select few ponies gaining intimate insight into human society at large could make it in. The terms are rather loosely defined right now (whoa, as I'm writimg this I saw a story get added. How cool is that? Someone joined! Squee! :D) so feel free to make

Sorry To Be A Bit Political For A Moment · 8:35pm Dec 14th, 2017

Well, the FCC just voted to repeal the laws on net neutrality.
Apparently, this was a given seeing as they comprise of five key members and three of them were leading this repeal.
However, now this goes to the courts and to congress. Those in favour of continuing net neutrality currently hold the majority in congress.

Do you like games? Do you like absurd value? Do you like supporting positive social change? If you answered yes to any of these questions, check out this itch.io bundle, offering well over a thousand games for as little as $5. I just bought it for the Lancer book and the aforementioned support (RPGs where everyone gets their own giant robot are always a good thing,) and it was still a steal.

The votes are in and we've got a new Prime Minister in the UK... · 3:26pm Jul 24th, 2019

So, not one for politics, but it was announced yesterday that Boris Johnson has been elected as the next Prime Minister for our country in regards to Brexit. He's supposed to be officially taking the position this afternoon.

Not saying I don't like the guy, he's a laid back and free dude, but...let's just say that Boris tends to go a bit off the rails here and there in the responsibility sense, especially in times when it's not needed.

Like I said in the author's note for chapter 10, "The Summit of Pieces", I feel it's necessary to bring real life into fimfiction due to the political nature of recent and future chapters and the political situation in America. This won't be a frequent thing, in case anyone's concerned about that.

I've been beaten to this particular punch several times over, which I will blame on Slay the Spire and forgetting that not everyone is following Daedalus Aegle (which you should be.) His blog here is an incredible and insightful approach into the fandom's current embroilment.

Watched this with my sister and her husband on Sunday afternoon. I'd watched some scenes before, so I wasn't going into this totally blind, but my gosh, what a magnificently black bit of political satire. The tagline "A Comedy of Terrors" is well earned. :pinkiecrazy:
