I'm probably late to the party noticing this, but it seems like most of the songs in the series are highlighting a lack of harmony and I think this tendency is especially strong with solo songs. It's just kind of sad.

When two characters cross swords, it’s just a way of talking out their differences with action, and when two characters get into a screaming match or a debate, that’s no different from a boxing match.

It's a way for us to continue something that we thought complete, or a way to adapt the story with current capabilities and writing techniques that we may have learned.
