Well it's about darn time, wouldn't you agree? Feels good to be writing again.

So why haven't I been writing? A multitude of reasons, but I'll talk about the big ones.

    "Always Had" is Officially COMPLETED

It's been almost two years since the last chapter of Always Had was published. This whole time it's been marked as "Incomplete", but tonight I finally decided to move forward with the next stage of the story in a separate fic and mark this one as "Complete", as Twilight's adventure of being Clover the Clever is ended and her slice of life as Clover has only just begun.

    Gusty the Great

    1. Has a horn
    2. Has wavy hair that seems to flow even when there's no wind
    3. Apparently flew away from Mt. Everhoof before teleporting away

I'm calling it now: Gusty's an alicorn.

    Christmas Fic

    Writing a musical is difficult.

Hopefully I'll have it done in the next couple weeks, because I want to publish it before Christmas.

    Happy Anniversary

On this day eight years ago, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic premiered on the Hub Network. A bunch of grown men decided to watch it as a joke, and then realized that it was actually a pretty good show. Very quickly, bronies came into the forefront of media for defying societal expectation that grown men aren't supposed to enjoy things marketed to young girls.

Like I said in the author's note for chapter 10, "The Summit of Pieces", I feel it's necessary to bring real life into fimfiction due to the political nature of recent and future chapters and the political situation in America. This won't be a frequent thing, in case anyone's concerned about that.

Hurricane's view on violence as a first response is one that probably a majority of Americans hold, as well as nearly all of the presidential candidates. Donald Trump's immediate response to almost anything, for example, is either violent or stems from violence and other bigotry. He's called Mexicans rapists and drug addicts and continuously insults women, Mexicans, the Chinese, and real Christians. Note: Hurricane isn't as bad as Trump. Trump is the current GOP frontrunner, and is gaining momentum, and that is frightening. Private Pansy's view on violence as the very last resort is a view held by, as far as I know, only one candidate, Bernie Sanders, and it's one of the reasons I'm rooting for him. Sanders is also gaining momentum, but his momentum is fueled by a genuine desire to make America better than it is, not bigotry.

Regardless, we should not resort to violence as a first response, no matter how riled up we get. For example, Daesh, the more accurate term for ISIS, has been provoking the US because they want to be attacked so they have an excuse to attack us. That's not my opinion; that's indisputable fact because Daesh has publicly published it as one of the reasons they do what they do. I don't have a link to it currently, but I'll try to get one soon.

As a tangent, here's an article that goes into more detail about why ISIS/ISIL is not an accurate term for Daesh. The Q'uran consolidated by Muslim scholars to 24 tenets, all of which Daesh has ignored or defied. https://www.rt.com/news/190468-muslim-scholars-islamic-state/

Diplomacy in America has been pushed to the wayside as the coward's way out. In Equestria's history, diplomacy has almost always provided the best solution. I understand that it's a cartoon. I understand that it's a cartoon marketed to children, and thus only mild violence can be depicted. I also understand that finding a diplomatic solution anywhere in real life, whether it's politics or someone's cheating on you or just simple misunderstandings, will more often than not bring about a solution that all parties involved will agree to. It's one reason I consider "The Hooffields and the McColts" one of the best episodes of season 5. The only exception is if one or more of the parties don't want to be mature enough to admit that they might be wrong.

Ironically, if Trump wins the Republican nomination and any other candidate from that side of the aisle starts a 3rd party run, Hillary is nearly guaranteed a win. The major flaw in a 2 party system is the 3rd candadite steals support from the one closest to their position and that means the other side wins almost every time.

Trump is predicted to win the nomination and a whole 15% of the general election vote.

I have deleted a comment that was just so... wow, there were no words for how moronic, hypocritical, assholish, uninformed, biased...

So yeah. That's apparently what happens when I say something mildly negative about Trump. Go figure.

VOLUNTEER! We have the younger vote locked down, but if we are to win this thing, we MUST spread the word to ALL ages! Get your ass out from behind the computer and go volunteer in any of the following ways:
