This story is a sequel to Tales of the Oppressed

A prequel/sequel to Tales of the Oppressed. (Yes, it's somehow both. Time travel is screwy)

Thanks to the combined efforts of the Equestrian Allied Forces, Sombra has been defeated. The country of Equestria once again returns to the peaceful state it used to be. Seth Rogers and Rainbow Dash, the couple brought together as a result of the grueling war, finally fulfill their promise to one another and depart on their cross-country flight.

But what of Amaryllis, the one girl who served as an emotional anchor for Seth? According to Seth's perception of the timeline, she should have been able to live out her life in peace. However, Seth and Rainbow make a discovery that suggests that this might not have been the case...

This is a mostly human-centric story focusing upon Amaryllis, with the intent of expanding and clarifying the universe established in Tales of the Oppressed. While my intent is to make it understandable even to new readers, it is recommended that Tales of the Oppressed be read first.

Trying to patrol the dreams of every pony in Equestria can be stressful. To ease her burden, Luna retools the Tantabus to turn nightmares into good dreams instead of vice versa. Aware of her mistakes from last time, she tests it out thoroughly, making sure there are no unexpected behaviors. And as far as she can tell, there are none.

Except that it's started calling her "Mom".

Faced with the prospect of possibly creating life, Luna seeks out Twilight's advice and assistance. With a little luck, they can get this all sorted out before the sun rises.

Sweetie Belle is compelled to learn magic after Rarity promises to teach her the finer art of dressmaking, but only once the young filly has learned the basics of magic. However, learning magic comes with its own set of complications and bears an unforeseen gift that will change Sweetie Belle's life forever.

Discord has a problem. He has a tendency to not think through his actions all that well, poor impulse control, and no ability to figure out how others will feel about what he does. An alternative to HiE stories. Midnight, a 14th century knight's steed and veteran of numerous battles during the hundred years war, faces her demise during one such engagement only to find that fate has other plans in store; including a chance to start anew in another world. But can a mare who knows nothing but conflict adapt to a land ruled by peaceful pastel-coloured ponies, or will it prove too much?

Warning: contains brief scenes of descriptive violence; especially in earlier chapters. Not enough to warrant an M rating, I think, but hopefully the mods will let me know if I'm wrong.
