After Rainbow Dash loses a wing in an accident Twilight finds herself to be the only pony capable of restoring it. But can she reconcile the month long treatment with her suppressed feelings for the pegasus?

I wanted to change a lot in this story before submitting it here, but then it took longer than expected and I had other things to take care of. So, after only the most basic revisions, here it is in all its imperfect glory. And in chapter form, too.

Rainbow Dash and Applejack have been together for almost two weeks and the two of them are happy about it but lately Applejack has been up to her chest in work meaning spending time with Rainbow has been the last thing on her mind. Rainbow knows that Applejack takes her work serious but Rainbow needs attention as well. So Rainbow comes up with a way so that her and Applejack can have the weekend together with no interruptions, hopefully.
A small side story that takes place after "Restless Nights".
This story came to life based on a comment from a reader of my previous story "Restless Night". Thank you Canius for this idea.

Applejack is offered a job from Braeburn that seemed simple at first or would it be more complicated once she realizes what she would give up.

After a tragic event that lands Rainbow Dash in the hospital, rendered unable to fly, she must stay with a friend, and likely never fly for the rest of her life.

However what starts as a horrible time for the cyan pegasus, could just turn into the best thing that ever happened to her.

I plan to release at least 2-3 chapters a day, and they could be anywhere from about 800 - 3,000 words long.

Rainbow Dash: weather pony, Wonderbolt hopeful, Element of Loyalty, and the fastest flyer in Ponyville (in all of Equestria if you ask her). She is happiest when she is in the air.

So, what happens when she is no longer able to fly?

After an accident, Rainbow Dash loses one of her wings. Losing her ability to fly makes the pegasus feel as though she has lost nearly her entire identity. It also means the loss of her dreams as a future Wonderbolt. Headstrong and hopeful, Rainbow Dash tries to find a way to have her abilities restored.

The question becomes: what will become of the high flyer? Will she gain her ability to fly once more? Will she come to terms with what happened and seek out a new identity? Or, will the tragedy leave her a shell of her former self that even her closest friends cannot fix?
