2835749 That's a lie. The Army was actual used in all major UNSC invasions. Look up more on http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/UNSC_Army. It tells you a long list of known UNSC army divisions and squads. And in the Halo game Reach you actually meet up with Charlie 3. They were the soldiers that were pinned down. Remember? You flanked the Covenant and saved them.

I like the concept, but the United Earth Space Corps doesn't have an army. They only have the Marines, Navy, and Air Force.

2837636 While it does say army on the wiki (which IS NOT maintained or edited by ANYONE from Bungie), the Spartans always refer to the soldiers as Marines, and the soldiers do no object to being called Marines. Ergo, they are Marines, not the army.
Also, the Marines in the U.S. military and militaries around the world are given a different set of equipment than the army. How come, then, the "army" and Marines are given the same equipment on Reach? It just doesn't make sense.
2837656 You obviously never read the Halo books. When it talks about the victory at Harvest (When the UNSC retook it) It went into major detail of how the UNA (United Nations Army) took back Harvest. In most of the games it only speaks of marines because The marines stay on the ships. In what Halo game have you played. (Other than Reach or ODST) doesn't start off on a ship filled with Marines?

But the United Nations Army, isn't the United Earth Space Corps. Those are two VERY different branches of the humans' military.

UNSC stands for United Nations Space Command, mate.
Also it is stupid not to maintain a regular army. The Marines are the force that can be deployed within days anywhere in the word/universe/galaxy the army comes in after. Without the Army the marines would lose because they have to be light and small in order to mobilize at such speeds. Please get a better understanding of the military before you go around saying there isn't a army in a government.
2837712 In Halo 1 and Halo 2, it stands for United Earth Space Corps. It wasn't until Halo 3 that Bungie started using United Earth Space Command. It's still the same thing.
The 'e' isn't used in the initials.
2837712 You need to read everything I've been saying, because I NEVER said that the government didn't have an army. They do, but it's in the form of a militia that isn't CALLED an army. It's deployed on Earth, and was on Mars and Reach for a time, until both of those planets were lost to the Covenant.
You should brush up on your Halo knowledge a bit more. I'm not an expert, but I do know these basic concepts.
2837747 Yes after the fall of Reach all UNSC Army was called back to Earth for better defense. But in the beginning of the war when the Humans did a lot of offensive attacks they used the Army A LOT...
2837769 That's true, but the army was a militia. It was formed from civilians, but they only received 2 weeks of training and weren't given the same uniforms the military had.
The Marines were trained for months, received military uniforms, and military-grade weapons. The militia used whatever guns they could get their hands on, sometimes UNSC weapons, but not often.

That sentence makes little sense as it stands.
Kate needs a first or last name, regardless how minor a character she is. If Kate was a "he" rather than a "she" it'd be easy to assume Kate was a surname.

Hey, I have edited. I had to edit for a writing class in seventh grade, and I edited for my friend. You, sir, can't call yourself an editor if you have "U" instead of "You".
