The world of Equestria is very different when you don't have nigh-omnipotent gods and goddesses running about. Without Celestia's guiding light, the Earth Ponies, Pegasi, and Unicorns would probably have never guessed at their gifts. Discord, being the embodiment of Chaos, would work through nature and change, meaning no controlling the weather. Without Luna, the world would be a much darker, scarier place. Oh, and by the way: these aren't your regular little ponies. There will be bipedal ponies with hands, blood and death, and some romance in this story, so if any of those turn you away, well, there's the door.

Twilight never told anyone the story of how she lost her horn and her friends have accepted long ago the fact that she doesn't want to talk about it. They've also accepted her rather critical view of the current government, even if some ponies in Ponyville still keep their distance from her, because of that simple fact. Needless to say, Twilight's life has never been easy, but fate will show her soon what it has in store for her.

In a desperate attempt to alter the course of history and save Equestria from extinction, the Alicorns send Twilight Sparkle far back in time to a magical world that once existed, where she, with the help of Megan Williams, must prevent the wake of an unstoppable enemy. G1/FiM crossover, based on the X-Men movie and comics storyline 'Days of Future Past'.

One day, it becomes too much, and Spike bites Twilight. Not only do they now have to deal with the hurt between them both, but something even stranger has come up.

Twilight could handle her fur starting to go brittle, and the sudden moulting of her wings. But when she started to have...cravings, she realised something more was wrong. Something bigger than a simple argument.

Just how immutable is fate? In an Equestria where Luna's victory over Celestia came at the cost of also sealing herself in the moon; will the same six ponies rise to return Equestria to a golden age.

Twilight Sparkle is the prized student of Princess Celestia, two-fold champion of Equestria, bearer of The Element of Magic, and general mare of renown. But we are all a product of our history and Twilight, along with the whole of Equestria, is no exception. When she is asked by Princess Celestia to look into an strange new field of magic, our studious heroine will get to learn first-hoof just how fickle history, and how important its quirks, can be.

I'd really appreciate feedback on how I can keep improving, so feel free to point out any errors in the comments. I'm looking forward to continuing this story despite my poor work ethic, so updates might be a bit slow. Regardless, I hope you enjoy what i have so far.

Its a common sentiment that a parent should never outlive her children. But what happens when you outlive all your friends? your family? What happens when year after year you watch ponies you grow close to grow old and die? How far would you go to keep somepony, anypony you love close? How much could the need for something to remain the same, to remain unchanged affect you?

A lot happened to Twilight Sparkle the year before she made the transition to Ponyville, before she realized the value of a friend, and before she saved all of Equestria...

After a chance encounter with "Rainbow:" an enigmatic, amnesiac pegasus mare with a rainbow-striped mane and a knack for mischief, Twilight begrudgingly finds herself overseeing her recovery, all while questions keep surfacing. Like who is she? Where did she come from? And more importantly... why can't she get her off of her mind?

As days turn to weeks, and weeks turn to months, destinies are revealed and the past is dug up as Rainbow's memories begin to resurface; and as sinister forces set their sights on Equestria, Twilight and Rainbow find they must overcome themselves in order to become the heroes they are meant to be.

Twilight Sparkle, the Element of Magic and hero of the Nightmare War, wants nothing more than to return to a quiet existence as a high school student. However, not every ending is final, or happy. A new foe rising in the darkness will force Twilight to rejoin the very organization that tore away her hope for normality, rebuild her team of other reluctant Elements, and save Equestria once again.

But first she has to learn how to make desserts and defeat a series of increasingly evil waifus.

For the vast majority of Equestria’s recorded history, there were only two alicorns. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were divine, unique, and to even imagine a time before them was impossible.

After thousands of years, two more alicorns were born, and ponies started asking questions. Where do alicorns come from? Why are they so long-lived? What exactly does a pony need to do to ascend?

Neither of the ancient sisters were interested in answering those questions, if they even knew themselves, and that is where the leads died for so many intrepid students, scholars, and scientists. But nopony could stand between Twilight Sparkle and the truth.

Nopony, with one possible exception.
