Twilight Sparkle broke time when she got her cutie mark. Now Twilight and Sparkle are sisters from another time. Twilight is hailed as the potentially greatest light magician of all time, and already has a reputation as a hero by the time she goes to Ponyville. This isn't her story, not primarily.

Sparkle is an orphan - her dark magic killed her parents. She lives with her brother in Canterlot's industrial sector because they can't afford anything better. She can't leave either. She's a natural dark mage; while Sparkle won't go mad like Sombra, her reputation is hardly any better. Worse, the law doesn't see her as a good pony.

The fact that the dead don't stay dead around her, or that Thorn - Spike's double - is an undead, soul-eating abomination, are other matters altogether.

Rainbow Dash has had a good life. Well, as good as any other Earth pony’s life, anyway. She has good friends, a good home, and has proven herself to be quite the speed demon, but for some reason, she just can’t shake the feeling that something is missing from her life. Like, something she used to have in her life, but can’t remember what that something was. What is she missing? And why does it feel connected to Scootaloo?

Hurt, stranded, lost, and alone. Emerald lays in the middle of a grassy plane during a heavy rainstorm. She begins to lose hope as the fog around her limits her vision even more. Her savior comes in the form of Rainbow Dash, who was sent back to her job for making simple mistakes. Rainbow gets stuck with the duty of temporarily watching over Emerald for a few days. Dash learns quickly that watching over another pony can be hard work, and being lazy wont get you anywhere with fillies. Rainbow then comes to learn that there is a lot more to this filly then meets the eye, and that she may be holding onto darker secrets.

Shining Armor returns to Canterlot to report on the continued peace within the Crystal Empire, though he does not come alone. Beside him stands a little white filly; his daughter. She is called Starlight, and she is the first Alicorn to be born in Equestria's recent history.
Without a cutie mark, this charming and determined little filly looks to Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns to discover her true talent and passion in life; a choice which catches the eye of Princess Luna, who sees true potential in the little princess. Perhaps it is time for Luna to take on her own student.
Will little Star rise to meet her glory as did Twilight Sparkle under Celestia's teaching? Or will she fall to the same evil that Luna herself did?

One foggy morning in Ponyville, the residents wake up to find their deepest darkest secrets sloppily written in red paint on their homes. No one knows who the culprit was, the only thing that the town knows is that it will not come off, no matter how hard you scrub. The town is baffled, humiliated, and in shambles. But no more than Twilight and her friends.

In a time where everything you fought to keep hidden is out into the open, will you embrace your faults or sins, or will you let them consume just who you really are?

Time to fess up, Ponyville.

Long ago, before the banishing of Luna, Equestria was home to six races, not just three. In addition to the stewards of the weather, the earth, and of arcane magics, there were also the Changelings and their Queens, the harvesters, but not thieves of love, who spread it across the land, the Fel Ponies, those who guided the souls of the dead, and finally, the Noctus Ponies, or bat-ponies, who helped guard the night.

For a time, harmony between the six was maintained in full, but over time this once proud family grew distant. The Changelings became corrupt and greedy, and the Fel Ponies began feeding upon dark magic. The former left the lands and the latter were banished to Tartarus.

At that, only the Noctus Ponies remained... the strangest and most misunderstood of the three, due to their need for blood. A steady fear of them had always remained among of the populace, but with the help of Princess Luna, their reputation remained noble. However, when she became tainted by the Nightmare, they became tainted as well - at least in the eyes of the populace.

They were forced to flee. To hibernate for many years.

Now, two years after Luna's return, her, along with Princess Celestia and Twilight, have begun turning the wheels of change: their goal to unite the six races once more - starting with those who helped watch the night.

The minions of the night will return in full force.
