Prelude and a meeting
Canterlot Theater
Two shadows stand behind a curtain looking out at a crowd. “Why in Tartarus did I do this? I'm a wreck,” the first shadow said as he looked at the stage before him. “Calm down Sonic. You have done this countless times. What is different this time?” the second shadow said putting a hoof on the shadow now named Sonic. “That was nothing compared to this. I'm going against the best DJ in Equestria, DJ-PON3 Vinyl Scratch.
Why did I challenge her again?” Sonic said as he stepped out into the light. He was a unicorn with red fur, a long orange mane with white streaks and a bang out front, red eyes, white wristbands on his forehooves, and a set of silver headphones around his neck. “I think it was because of the hard apple cider from Sweet Apple Acres you drank, but it's no big deal. You can do this Sonic, you're great at this. Now lets get out there and blow their minds,” the second shadow said as it flew out from the shadows. He had yellow fur with a short black mane and a silver coloring on his right foreleg. “You're right Meca Bass. It's just, she is my idol. Vinyl is the reason I became a DJ in the first place. I just don't want to humiliate myself in front of her and everyone,” Sonic said as he looked out at the crowd again. Sonic continued to pace as the time till his duel got closer. You see Sonic Bass is known as DJ-Kitsun3 an upcoming DJ and well, lets let the poster tell the story.

Come one, come all to see the Battle of the Beats. Ponyvilles own DJ-PON3 Vinyl Scratch takes on newcomer DJ-KITSUN3 in a battle of bass proportions. DJ-KITSUN3, known as Sonic Bass, takes on the challenge of his carrere as he tries to take the titale of Wub Master from Vinyl. When asked for her opinion, Vinyl stated, “So he thinks he can challenge me and win? Hahaha. Kids got guts. I'll take the challenge, as long as my best friend Octavia is the announcer.” Sonic replied, “Sure, why not. I'm a fan of her music and am a big fan. I have an idea, lets make this better. We will make this a tag battle. You and Neon Lights verses me and my music partner 'Meca' Bass Master.”
And so we come to the day of the challenge in the Canterlot Theater. Two teams, one stage, and one hell of a party.
Chapter 2
As Sonic continued to pace nervously, Meca Bass decided to look at the crowd. “Oh buck. Dude, you will not believe who is here. Princess Celestia and the Elements of Harmony are in the crowd with that dragon you hang out with. You didn't tell me they would be here.” WHAT?! Spike is here with them?” Sonic said backing up. “I can't do this. I'm calling this off,” Sonic said as he tried to run.
He got 2ft before a sonic blast shot past his head. “Don't make me hit you next time,” Meca said as he lowered his silver hoof. “You promised me you wouldn't use that on me Bass,” Sonic said as he glared at his friend who said “You are not running. You are better than this. You have never run from anything since I met you Octavian.” “I told you to NEVER CALL ME OCTAVIAN. My name is Sonic Bass now,” yelled Sonic as he sent a wave of magic at Meca. Meca dodged upwards tackling Sonic as he came down. “Snap out of it! I'm sorry I called you Octavian, but you need to calm down,” Meca said as he pinned Sonic to the floor.
“Is every thing alright back here?” a voice said as a lavender pony walked backstage. “Hi my name is Twilight Sparkle. Spike told me I would find Sonic back here.” Sonic pushed Meca off him and stood up, fixing his hair and headphones. “I'm him,” sonic said as he put his hoof out. “It's nice to meet you Miss Sparkle. Sonic Bass, aka DJ-KITSUN3. Sorry about earlier, I'm a bit nervous about this. 'A bit my flank' Shut it Bass, hehehe,” sonic said as he scratched the back of his head. “Hehehe, It's ok. I get nervous too. Usually about tests and my research,” Twilight said as she gained a slight blush. “But based on what Spike told me, your really good. Why would you be scared?”
Sonic looked down at his hooves with a cloud of doom above his head. “I get nervous in front of crowds this big, not to mention Princess Celestia is here. I just Don't think I'm good enough for this.” “Sonic, I may not know you well enough, but I know you can do this. Just go out there and do your best. That is all that matters,” Twilight said as she walked up to Sonic and gave him a hug. Sonic blushed as he returned the hug. “Thanks Twilight, I needed that,” Sonic said as he released the hug.
“Attention everypony. Lets hear it for our entertainment tonight. Introducing the one, the only, DJ-PON3.,” Octavia's voice was drowned out by the cheering from the crowd. Vinyl Scratch, a white colored unicorn with blue hair and purple shades, ran out on stage. “Buck yeah. What's up everypony? Having a good night? 'YEAH' Then lets drop this bass.” “And introducing the challenger. The rising star, DJ-KITSUN3!” Twilight looked at Sonic and said, “Thats your cue. Good luck out there.” “Thanks Twilight,” Sonic said, “Well, here it goes.” And Sonic ran to the stage, his fear leaving him as he looked back at Twilight. Now I know what your thinking, What's going on? How does Sonic know Spike? What's with Bass Master's hoof? And what is with Bass calling Sonic Octavian and Sonic getting angry? Well, we have to turn back time to reveal all. Back before Sonic was a DJ, back before he knew Bass Master, back when Sonic was a young colt in Canterlot.
